Case: PR card photos denied twice.

Hi,

I and my wife did our short landing and became permanent recidents on 20 October, 2017. I (the primary applicant) received my PR card in December, 2017. My wife however received an email from IRCC, asking her to send new photos because the ones she had originally submitted didn't meet the required specifications. No explanation at all.

We live in the US and we both had had our photos at Walgreens in our town. It is the only place which takes Canada photos. IRCC accepted mine but denied my wife's. When they requested new photos from her in December, she went to the same Walgreens and had a new set of photos. She checked the measurements and everything before sending them. Everything looked perfect. The guy who took the photos was a professional too and quite aware of the photo requirements for Canada. Anyways the new photos were delivered on 20 December 2017. Today (23 Feb 2018), my wife received another email stating that they received the photos but they dIdN't meet the required specifications either. Again no explanation. They wanted her to sent new photos one more time.

So my questions are
1. How can we learn what the problem was with the photos?
2. What happens if they deny her photos the third time?

Thank you
If you were in Canada, I would have said go to London Drugs. If your picture gets rejected London Drugs will give you 50$ gift card.

Finally got my wife's PR card:
Landed: Sept 24th 2017
New photos requested: Dec 22nd 2017
New photos received by CIC: Jan 2nd 2018
Approved: Feb 2nd 2018
Card Received: Feb 13th 2018

My own photos were rejected for the 2nd time, so I sent a 3rd set of photos and they received it on Feb 12th, back to waiting again.
Today I called the IRCC Call Centre and they said they're processing the photo retakes received on January 3rd, which is odd since some people after that date already got their photos approved, so I hope this date is wrong and they'll get to my new photos soon.

Hello! Do you have any updates about your PR card?

Don’t know from elsewhere but the above number is what I used to contact them from within USA.
Just to be more precise, it doesn't depend on where you call from, but from what kind of number. I tried to call it now from within Canada with my old US phone number, and when they transfer me to CIC immigration services, it says that the number is not available from my area, while it works if I use my Canadian phone number.

Maybe they just ban some US area code, but not all of them.

Landed Dec 15.

Hi,

Sharing my timeline:

Landing Date: 16th Jan
Landing location: Niagara Falls Rainbow Bridge (flagpole)
PR Card Approved: 26th Feb

Question. I landed with my spouse. I was able to link my application to my account but unable to link hers with her cic account. Dont know why? It says approved on my application. I am concerned if this approval is for both. Her name isnt mentioned

Thanks,
Kevin

Why do people get new photo requests for PR card? Is it because the photos you submitted are not as per specs (dimensions, facial expression, etc). But isn't this already checked during the PPR phase?

Hi everyone,

I did my landing at POE 2 weeks ago with my CORP stamped and signed. I could not link my PR card application to my CIC so i don't know for sure if it is in process. Anybody know that after landed, does the application for PR get updated on cic or ecas? i check on my CIC, the status of my CORP is updated on Feb 7th which is the day i received the CORP, but i landed a few days later on Feb 13th, but it still shows updated on Feb 7th, and on my ecas, it shows application is Decision Made (not completed as others). Does it mean something goes wrong with my landing?

Hello everyone,

I have been looking for the responses but I couldn't find my similar situation but I wanted to ask in any case.

I have landed in Vancouver on Dec 7th and called CIC about my delivery address and even though I have changed to my residential address they sent to my consultants address. They mailed it on Jan 30th but until now we haven't received the card. When I called CIC, they told me to wait until March 15th (6 weeks timeline).

Is anyone in similar situation?

where did you take initial photographs ??? outside or inside canada?

In the US.
The length of the face from the chin to the top of the head should be 31-36 mms.
In Canada , there is no problem because Costco,Walmart, Photopro are aligned to this automatically.
If you are taking the photo in the US, please only take it in Walmart / Walgreens and tell them to align it as per Canadian specs.
Earlier, I did the mistake of going to CVS.
