Thanks for your reply mate. I have got my SIN and bank account done. I'm just waiting for my PR card and exhausting my funds :(
As far as PRTD is concerned, it is totally at the visa officers discretion. He may sometimes deny it. Is it a full proof method?
I'm just not able to make up my mind :(

If you leave Canada and wish to return in August 2018, you will still be within the residency obligation if you apply for a PRTD at that time and the visa officer will have no reason to deny you. Are you able to have someone receive your PR card and then courier it to you in India?

Yes. I have a friend here. He will receive my PR card. He can mail it to me.

I did not understand this point "... if you apply for a PRTD at that time and the visa officer will have no reason to deny you." Can you please help me understand it?

The visa officer will have no reason to deny you a PRTD because you will still be able to meet the 730 day residency obligation within 5 years of becoming a PR.

However, if you have your PR card mailed to you, you won't need a PRTD in the first place unless you need to return to Canada before receiving your PR card.

In my opinion, you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks mate. That was comforting.
If they demand for a photograph then I can send it by mail, right? I don't have to be in person present in Canada, right? Also do they request for a passport with the photograph or for any other purpose?

True, I landed on Sep 1, haven't got the card yet, never received an email for re-submitting photo so I'm guessing it's a good go.
Just anxiously waiting

You could call them. If no issues you should get it this week.

Mate, your are a PR now! I sent photos of my entire family from outside Canada, while my wife's card has arrived, I am waiting for mine and kids'...

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the rest of the information is present on the Annex A form. The barcode allows them to avoid having to manually enter the information from the form. You're not the first that couldn't get the barcode to print.

Anyone who resend a photo on September? Any updates? Just want to know whether they are already processing photos received on September.

Thank you..
