hi guys, got my COPR and planning to land in Toronto in 3 weeks. However, I wanted to get some feedback on PR card processing times, since a lot of you received picture requests again which delayed the procedure. So what if i took fresher pics with me and give it to immigration officers at time of landing , to save time? Would that work ? Ofcourse the PP pictures would be as per the regulations etc.

Thanks,
omer
Seems a good idea, I suggest you try it, however I need to say that some friends tried it before but officer at the airport didn’t take them and said if required they will be contacted, this was a specific am not sure if this is a general rule

Ok , thanks for feedback. I'll just tell him the COPR pics are older than 6 months now, which is true . Surprised the local VO didn't catch this and recommended for new pics.

I am in the same boat...this is too late...pl share if you get any update...
I am currently outside Canada, so how to do it?
Best Regards,

for the photo re-take, I keep calling CIC each week to see which date they are processing,

For the last three weeks, each time i call them they are saying we are processing photos received (27 July and before), they don't have like daily or weekly update, but it looks they gets the update randomly.

I landed at Pearson Toronto on 2nd Jul. They asked for my wife and kids' photos on 23-Aug and mine on 09-Sep and same were dispatched subsequently. No update since.
When did you do your landing? did they contact you for any additional requirements?

Hi guys,

COPR Rcvd: 12th September
Landed: 16th October
However, the immigration guys did not ask for any address, wrapped us up in 5 mins and told us to go to Service Canada to get the SIN.
Service Canada & Toronto Airport: Took the address, and gave us the SIN in 2 mins and then we left.

Now, I am confused where will the PR card be mailed as the Immigration officer never asked for it.

You can always call CIC can confirm whether they have an address for you on file or not. You can give your address if not there or if not correct. I hope it helps.

Below is my timeline for PR Card :

Landed : 10-Aug-2017
Photo Req : 27-Sep-2017
Photos Sent : 30-Sep-2017
Photos Received at CPO, Sydney : 05-Oct-2017

No update since then. Anyone on this forum in the same boat? I tried calling them yesterday but did not connect even after waiting on line for 40 mins. Does anyone know the current status of the processing?
