Hi I appreciate your response, thank you very much but my file shows 'approved' for a week now & i did not receive any email. Also I did landing on 3rd of August. i have to get to india by 23rd. any suggestions would be helpful. Even my friend is flying in 3 weeks after me and said he would get it delivered in india but am worried what if I dont receive the card until he departs.

What I've heard is that "approved" not always mean dispatched. In my case, it was - and I think it is for the majority. But the only source that can give you the right information is IRCC. Call them to confirm.

It does. So when the online myCIC says "Approved" means it was dispatched. And then 24 hours later we get an email saying its updated.

However, approved from the agents side does not necessarily mean dispatched.

For e.g. when I called IRCC the agent said my card was approved on Aug 9th but was dispatched on Aug 14th. However, my online account turned to 'approved' on Aug 14 and I received an email on Aug 15th that my 'myCIC' account had been updated.

Hope that clears the confusion.

Landed in June, received photo request, sent the same in august...no updates after that.

Any advise how to link my PR card application ?

Did you try to enter the exact birthplace on your passport or COPR? Special characters like "/" or "," should also be included.

You just said exactly what I said earlier!

Your agent must've meant that card was approved earlier but mailed/dispatched out that day -- same day your online account showed "approved".

Finally My application was approved Today. I think i will receive it shortly, crossing my fingers. Landed June 30th , application approved today, 55 days journey to approval. Waiting to receive it.

Approved online: August 18
Email notification: August 19
Cards received: August 24

How long should we wait before we try to link the application, I have tried with all the ways, suggested on this forum, and every time it says no application found,

Hello,
My parents landed on May 18, 2017 in Toronto Pearson and we received a request for new photos for both of them on July 19th. We send them by mail to Sydney, NS on the same day and the tracker says that it was received on July 24th at their end. However, we havent received the PR cards yet. Is this expected or should I be worried? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks!

Are you sure your Permanent Resident Card and NOT Permanent Residency application shows as "approved" ? Aug 3rd landing date means it should only be ready by Oct 3rd. I doubt yours will be processed so quickly.

If it's the latter (which again I highly doubt) then I would call up CIC and find out the "card dispatched date" and the address they sent it to. Accordingly, I would then check my mailbox, old addresses on file and with my neighbours. It should come within 5 days from the dispatched date.

So do that.

My card was approved on Aug 9th but only dispatched on Aug 14th.

You should have landed after your India trip. The only other option you now have, is to apply for a PRTD doc from New Delhi!

Yes.

Link your PR Card application in your myCIC account. Click on "Link Application" and then select PR Card. Choose the UCI + Last Name combination. View screenshot - https://ibb.co/b92TnQ

It will show as 'In Progress' and once approved it will give all details of the card - Doc number, Expiry Date, etc.

• 'Approved' on myCIC means it has been dispatched and should reach you within 7 days (E.g. mine was approved on Aug 14 means it was dispatched on Aug 14th and I received it on 16th)
• Expiry date of the doc means it was printed on that date (E.g mine says Aug 9, 2022 means it was printed on Aug 9, 2017)
