Hi

I landed on 25th July. I was given a form to update my address and fax it to CIC by the official at landing. I faxed it the following day.

Is there a way that we can check if our address is updated or not. I also linked my application to mycic account and the staus is submitted. Does that mean, my address is updated?

On my cic account it's showing they are processing my card does that mean they have already started

No idea. The status on the main page came from submitted to approved. On the detailed status, I think it was " we are processing..." since the beginning, but really can't confirm that.

Congratulations! Finally your journey for PR is over!
Thanks for helping the forum, your reverts were so informative and helpful. :)
Thanks!

In my case, because it was urgent processing they used this exception for my card:

"In cases where requesting new photos may cause undue hardship to the applicant (e.g., refugees who have already submitted photos compliant with the former specifications and for whom requesting new photos could delay resettlement) or may otherwise unduly delay finalization of an application, it may be appropriate to use the photos already on file, which are compliant with the former specifications, when preparing the COPR."

Read this operational bulletin on their website on how they treat photos for PRC: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2015/ob540B.asp

Now it makes sense why they asked me for new photos but used my old photos after reading my letter. ;)

Hi everyone, have been reading about the request for new photos to be submitted, has there been a recent change in the photo specifications sparking this new request? Tx

Woohooo, my PR card just got approved!!!!!! Finally long PR journey is over!
Good luck to everyone!

I received an email from
Permanent-Resident-Card@cic.gc.ca just now
asking new photos for my spouse.
We had the photos at the same studio yet he was asked to submit a new one and mine was approved.

Did any of you receive mail to submit photos twice?

I receive an email last wednesday, took new photos, sent them out on the 16th, they arrived on the 21st and today I got an email for submitting the photo again, but it does say that if you have recently submitted photos you should disregard the email. I called CIC and the lady said I shouldn't re-send new photos as of now, but she couldn't tell me much else.

Now I really do not know what to do. I can't tell if they have received my photos and thought they were bad again, or if it is just a glitch in the system.

Anyone had any experiences like that? If anyone can help me I'd be really grateful.

For people waiting on timelines, my husband's card was processed just fine. We landed on the 26th of June and this monday his application status changed to approved. However, We haven't received his card yet. So I don't know how long that will take.

hi how many days it took for ur pr card to process after you got COPR (confirmation of PR)?

Around 56 days.... When I finally get a card in my mailbox, it would probably be 61 days (normal PR card processing time).
