I just phoned and apparently they are experiencing processing delays, estimated to end on the 19th.

Finally received my wife's PR card today after the new photo request.

02/23: delivered the photo to Nova Scotia.
03/07: PR card send out.
03/10: received PR card.

Now the PR journey is over

"Only from within Canada" ..this is the issue. Earlier, back in November 2016, I used to be able to call from a US number and my friend was able to call from an Indian number. But now, since December 2016, if you are try calling from a non-Canadian number (they would recognize by the area and country code), your call does not get through. You get an automated message saying "The call cannot be completed from the area you are dialing".

Because of this, my friend in India is facing a lot of issues as he is now unable to call CIC helpline to get updates on his PR Cards.

Does he have someone in Canada that he can appoint as an authorised representative that can phone CIC for him? That's what I'm doing, to cover myself while I'll be out of the country.

Hi Guys,

We processed our CoPR together(3 of us in my family) on 27th Jan. But we received only one PR card card only yesterday(of my wife).

Is this normal? I am going to call them anyways but can anyone in the group share their experiences.
