All,

I landed on 19th November (Rainbow Bridge), I just called CIC and found out that my cards (mine+spouse) went into Production on 13th January.

So I guess, another two weeks before I can keep this aside for good.

Best of luck to the rest.

did they ask you proof of funds while you were landing at Rainbow Bridge?

CEC mate, so No, I wasn't asmed for it!

quick question, thank you for your reply.

We did our landing in Local Ottawa CIC office on 13th Dec 2016. Do we have to submit the PR card application to get our PR card? or they will mail to us after we finish landing ?

You will get the PR card automatically, the CIC office will take care of it, there is no need to "apply" for a PR card. You just need to wait around 2 months currently before receiving the PR card.

Thank you

I landed on Rainbow Bridge and was asked for proof of funds and proof of address. They did not look on my documents before asking them. So even for CEC, the officer might ask for it. It really depends on the officer. I am prepared for that so I did not encounter any issues.

Yeah, you must have shown a substantial amount in your profile. I didn't. Depends on what you have declared.

Update for PR card:

PR card for Wife was mailed on 26th January and was received today.

Good luck to all!

Congrats on your wife's PR card!

Yes, I showed significant amount in my profile. However, when I told the officer that I am landing (without looking yet in my documents and they had no idea on my file yet at this moment), she immediately asked for proof of funds and proof of address together with my landing documents. I advised everyone to bring these documents, just in case.

Yup, better to be prepared for anything, I carried all the documents too, just in case.

Hi
Landed on 25th Dec 2016
I have a couple of questions....

1.Is it possible to check the status of an initial PR Card online or do you have to call CIC? I can login to ECAS but it just shows my Permanent Resident application as complete.

2. ECAS shows mailing address of my home country whereas Current address is my Canadian address..... which was given to the immigration officer at the time of landing. I tried changing the mailing address online but it doesnot except cahnge in mailing address only. Is this the case with other fellows?
