I landed on 22 August and left Canada on 7 September. We are a family of 4. On 21 September, I received an email asking me to submit a photo. On 23 September the PR cards for my wife and 2 kids arrived at the address provided. Mine is still pending due to photo. Now I sent the photo to friend in Canada so he can send it to Nova Scotia. How can I follow up with CIC to check if they received the pictures? and the status of the PR card? Is there any email adress? I understand calling them is painful.

^ It's designed so that you can call easily from within Canada and accept the cards inside Canada. You chose to leave Canada, so you have to live with the workarounds.

You must give your goods to follow list at your landing/your first entry. Afterwards it won't count anymore.

Landed on 4th June.
Came back to my home country on 17th June.
Received an email regarding resubmitting new photos for me and my spouse on 3rd August (took them almost 2 months to validate our photos, quite ridiculous! )
Resent the new photos on 21st August.
Received PR card for my spouse on 13th September.
Haven't received mine till now!

Anyone has similar situation, please suggest! Really doubt mine has been lost.......

My case is the worst, I landed 1st of April, received a request to resubmit my photos on 9th of June and I did, but I didn't receive anything from them. So, in September I called them and a lady advised me to resubmit the photos with a carrier not Canada Post which I did on 9th of September. And before 4 days I received a request from CIC to resubmit my photos again!!!!

Hi Guys,

I am new to the PR club, as my passport has been sent for stamping. The PR visa & CoPR is valid till the medicals are valid, but I have a couple of queries:
- is the PR card automatically applied once you land for the first time in Canada?
- is it safe to fly out before the PR card comes and get it through courier later onn?
- how much time it takes on an average for the card?

these are beginners query, pardon me for being so basic :)

HI,

My wallet was stolen and it had my PR Card in it.

Applied for a Replacement - 12th September 2016
AOR - 28th September 2016
In Processing - 29th September 2016

I had also attached copy of police report, COPR and my stolen PR Card.

I am travelling to India in January and my tickets were booked way before the card got stolen.

Will I be able to get it before that (cause I 've heard that there is no processing of applications in December) or should I contact CIC regarding this to process my application faster?

And also I read in someone comments that Replacement of stolen or lost PR cards is little faster than renewal. IS it true?

Thanks!

Hello
Ideally it says express entry processing times for express entry are less than 6 months and the processing times for new pr card is 41 days on cic.gc.ca
My query is that i have sent an application to the cic after receiving an ITA on 22nd september 2016 with the medicals and pcc.
So should i expect copr and pr visa in 41 days or after landing in canada and then the processing time for pr card is 41 days??
Kindly help.

1. Yes, the immigration officer does that for you.
2. Yes you can fly out and have someone send the card to you so you will have it when you re-enter Canada.
3. Based on CIC website, it says 41 days. I was told about 60 days by immigration officer.
