Hi all,

is it possible to track PR card processing through ECAS?

Yes they are. you already have PR status after landing and are fully entitled to all you should be.

PR card is mainly for ID and travel.

Can i travel outside canada without pr card? Can my relatives here in canada just send me the pr card abroad?

Just wanted to post my timeline as its been quite a long journey so far...Hope this helps someone over here.

Landed - June 03 2016 at Pearson Int Airport.
Called CIC Jul 22nd to make sure there were no photo requests and was told that card went to production on Jul 18th.
Called again Aug 23rd to see if something was wrong as it was taking bit more time than expected and was told that Card was shipped on that same day.
Received Card on Aug 26th.

Decided to stop by my mailbox tonight randomly and voila! PR Card was there waiting.

Landed May 26
Photo request Aug 11
Photo sent Aug 12
Photo Delivered Aug 15
PR card received Aug 29

Time to head to Cuba for a quick vacay! ;D

Yes, couple of times this month. Just have your COPR and passport. But this is via road.

Last week only i received the pr card but traveled twice via land with COPR.

Update for what it's worth:

Landed: July 25
New photograph request: Aug 30 (via email)

The original photos met all the specs, AFAIK. This is just silly. Oh well.

Most of who submitted new photos get it now in 2 weeks , hopefully yours be the same . Cheer up and get new photos sent

By commercial transportation means you need PRTD/PR card but some people still pass through using visa exempt passport still (as per some other forum members mentioned in other threads) but check it out on the rules.

I had photos in new dimensions and yet got new photo request. It is all random.

Landed: 8th June
New photo request: 5th Aug
Photo received: 10th Aug

Wife got her PR card yesterday. I am still waiting (It has gone for processing)

Now I am outside Canada and I am applying for a travel document or I may travel to New York first and then walk over to Canada at Niagara. If only these cards had come a week earlier (my brother was traveling from Canada to India)
