Does anyone know the number of IRCC call center if calling from outside Canada?

1-888-242-2100 only works from within Canada.

Quote from previous post by a member sometime ago:
1-888-242-2100 doesn't work if you are outside. Try 1-613-944-4000 and then a series of 1111131 (when asked to press a digit). This should take you to CIC representatives.
If you have GMAIL (no matter where you are) you can make free phone calls from google voice to the US and Canada.

I have used the other number recently too for tracking PR card hence it will work from your location too.

No you can't they will just give you a paper printout of your driver's license until you show them proof of citizenship (PR Card). Even COPR does not cut it at least from here
Ontario will process your DL with the COPR. If they gave you a piece of paper is because you'll get the plastic via mail

Hello guys,

I entered Canada on June 13th. I've heard I need to wait for 90 days for my OHIP Card at Service Ontario. My questions are:

How soon can I request the card?
Can I request it before, saying that I will receive it on or after day 90?
Do they give it to the person immediately or they mail it home?

Thanks so much,

FL

Guys I am totally stressing out!! We landed on the 15th of May and nothing until now!
I've called several times and they keep saying they dont see any issues so I should just wait? How can there be no issues if people from mid June are getting their cards?

CoPR is not required for transferring a eligible (ie: US/UK/etc...) driving license. When you get your DR it's a piece of paper while you wait for the mail, about 2 weeks normally (based on the previous 3 I've had sent).

You can request it as soon as you want, I had to go 3 times because they wouldn't accept my proof of address or employment at first (AirBnb = bad, print out with signature vs real ink = bad); it doesn't really matter if you request it day 1 or day 60, it will come shortly before day 90 and it's valid from the 91st day after you land. I wouldn't request it much later than day 90 because it takes a while to arrive and they may (or may not) give you an interim paper copy if you request it day 89. I've venture not.

They mail it out, takes about 4 weeks they said (I got mine in the post pretty much bang on 4 weeks and one day before it was valid :p).
When I updated my OHIP from permit to PR I got a piece of paper to use with my old card indicating there was something on the system to disable it hence the paper.

Yeah, in my case, I brought my first bank statement (5 days old) as proof of residency, but was told it had to be at least 1 month of transactions, so...I have to wait for next month's bank statement before I can apply for OHIP. I don't have the other residency requirements, and I plan to get a driver's licence later.

Just called CIC again..after almost three months and several calls, finally someone told me there was an issue with the photos :'(

The thing is I think they are trying to use the ones we uploaded in the initial process and not the ones we sent to the VO for COPR. Is that normal?

Got an email today to resend my photos!

While CIC website mentions a processing timeline of 41 days, I get a photo request after almost 60 days!!!
WHY are there always such discrepancies with CIC?
I'm so frustrated with the long delays and lack of communication from them.
They really, really need to improve their process.

Could someone please tell me what kind of envelope the PR card comes through the mail in.

i.e. is it brown/white? Does it have the CIC/IRCC logo on it/return address?

Wow, so many stories about CIC inefficiency. What baffles me is that they have 41 days on their website. They need to change that.

I think most people that don't provide their address at landing have more delays
