I don't think so that you need new photos and hope that you will get you pr card soon but better to call cic and ask about your pr card
Their number is

Need to press 2 3 2 and then 0 for iptions

Well good news all this mid-June people are getting their cards! I'll try to remember to call this number tomorrow (thanks) and update.
June 5th, Rainbow bridge, living in TO. Maybe it's just the dire post here, even the TTC aren't delivering passes this month.

Thats sucks!

They said the photos don't meet the required specification. Landed June 02. Pictures were taken dec 2015 50mmx70mm

Funny thing is my wife and I were both in the application. Used photos from the same photographer and I'm the only one that got the request.
I got the same picture request today. I took the first one to their requested standards. Pls where is the best place for the new pics?walmart?

I took mine at London drugs.
They give you a checklist that it meets CIC standards
date and time stamp at the back of both photos
provision for your name and DOB
and they tell you to bring it back if CIC rejects it - they will retake it for free and give you a store gift card. Sounds like they know what they're doing to me

And you've not heard from them or called them?

I literally got off the phone with a CIC rep 2 mins ago. I resubmitted my photos apr 29, and was told that my card was processed and mailed yesterday. Assuming that they go in order, maybe yours is close behind.

@TAHA1111, Thanks for the details. I called in immigration and was lucky to get in touch with a really helpful person. I was clarified that for PR card, the application of my wife and mine are treated independently. So, I can expect the card sooner.

Good luck all!

Well that's a convoluted menu but 0 at the end seemed to do the trick. They are, as always, experiencing a high call volume. Wait time was listed as 9 minutes, 10 mins later 1 minute, 3 minutes later another 1 minute, you get the idea. Took about 17 mins to get through.

During which time they repeatedly told me things indicating they wouldn't do anything until about after it was due.

Anyways ... after a number of questions they told me it had been sent to a different address (lawyers office) yesterday, apparently.

I'll post when (when!!) it gets there.

Landed at Emerson,Pembina on 11th June.

Today we received 2 out of 3, hopefully will receive the 3rd card soon :).
After seeing your post, I was heartened - I landed at Emerson on June 12th. I went home at lunchtime to check my mail, and lo - my PR card arrived today. YAY! :)

I just got an email request for new photographs >:(!!!! I am a little confused because the photographs I had submitted were the 50X70mm. My wife hasnt received a request yet. She was part of my application so if her photographs do not meet the same standards does she get an email or will they send the email to me?

Thanks and I guess now I just wait it out....

Thats great. No headache on sending photos again.
Congrats.

My wife landed in Pearson airport, Toronto on May 6th. Still no sign of PR card. :(

This is not true. A lot of photo resubmissions, or even perhaps most, are for photos with the new requirement.

I agree the border guard took new photos of me to the new requirements and they still want new ones...a joke

Yesterday I said I got the photo request and my wife didnt...Well she got hers today.
Good news is that it seems they are picking up pace with the PR card production so hopefully we won't have to wait too long.
Alot of us have to travel soon :(

A reminder that apparently London Drugs are doing a offer where they will re-do it for free if CIC rejects and give you a gift card, I'm sure most of us don't care about the $20 or whatever that's worth but it must show they are pretty confident.

For anyone in Toronto, I'm happy to recommend the place that did a great job with mine (for PR card and for a number of visas).
They seemed very familiar with the updated list, and it's not a booth they actually take a few photos until you are happy and then validate it and everything. It's just off Yonge and Bloor underground.

For those waiting, if it's been over 50 days strongly suggest you call the number and ask the question. If nothing else it'll put your mind at ease and maybe give you a head start if there is an issue.
