I was asked to send new photos once and i sent them but when I called cic today i was told latest update is request for photos. my confusion is if this is a new request for photos or the old ones?

Zara1986 - Your calling over and over again when the last update hasn't changed will only confuse you. You have all the data you need.

As reference, someone that sent new photos waited a month to get their PR Card. For you that's April 17th.
Also the last update they said was to send new photos which you already did. You're calling again in less than one month from re-sending photos. I don't think the latest update has changed i,e the last correspondence was to send new photos. I don't think this correspondence is new hence doesn't warrant re-sending another set of photos in less than a month. Don't confuse yourself. Wait about a month after new photos are sent.

I think this is the trick guys. They purposely ask to resubmit photos inspite of having correct specs for some so that they get still get 1 month more of buffer time. So even though website displays 54 days processing tym, they will still process in 90+ days. They do give out to some lucky ones on tym just so that records shows that they did deliver it to some..on tym. How many of those though? Is a big question. And nobody can justify why they take 3 months to print a card, its stupid, people are aware of latest technologies and production lines. If they want they can produce thousands in a day. But they wont bcoz they want to spend our precious time after such activities like taking photos again and again. Gr8! And when people apply for more and more travel documents they can earn revenue from it. Its all politics. And they are smart people, they know that people must b frustrated of continuous working and everone wants to go somewhere after landing, so they come up wid travel doc thing! Millions of dollars of revenue.!!! if they want there would be a trick to bypass photos in the machine if the machine rejects, so if they can visually see that its ok they shud just bypass the rejection by machine afterall its a machine.

I really dont think that they bother to show 90+ days in their website.

i landed on Feb 2nd... no card yet :(

wife landed the next day on Feb 3rd... got new photo request 2 days ago... photos mailed out already...

Landed on February 17th.

Still waiting for my PR Card as well. Luckily, I have found a job since then, so I am not in a hurry to leave anyway.

Congrats to everybody who has received their cards recently. Seeing that some, who landed in February are starting to receive theirs, I am hoping I wont have to wait too much longer. Looking forward to finalizing the whole process. Without the PR Card it still doesnt feel like the immigration process has properly ended.

What kind of information are required when I call to IRCC 1-888-242-2100 to check status of PR Card ?

I landed at Toronto on 14th January with my wife. I was a principal applicant. I got my PR Card at the end of Feb/beginning of March. But Im still waiting for my wife's card.
We made a photos at this same photo studio, so I suppose that photos are same and correct with new specifications.

No you cannot check status of your PR card. If your card is being produced, you can expect around 1 week from now to receive it. They will mail it using regular post from processing centre in Nova Scotia to your address

I called CIC, and they said they are experiencing high volume of calls and refuse to transfer the call for me. Anyone had same experience? Landed on Jan. 13th, requested for new photo on Mar. 10th, still waiting for PR card... and CIC won't take phone calls :(
