friends..landed dec15 2015, i havent received pr card until today..is it normal? can u guys please help which phone number should i contact to track status of my pr card? thanks

I think you should call them, 1 (888) 242-2100 inside Canada, to check your card status. I landed on 16th Jan and got card by Feb end.

So I landed on the 1st of March. I have a trip booked and paid for in June to Barcelona.
The timing is tight, but I saw on the CIC website that you can send in a CSE for urgent processing by including your itinerary and receipt of travel.

I sent in my CSE and got the response "This message is to inform you that we have received your request asking us to process your Permanent Resident Card (PR card) urgently, but that there is no urgent procedure for new permanent residents"

So just a heads up for anybody else thinking of doing the same. Apparently they can't urgently process our cards.

Here's hoping it comes int he mail, otherwise I am going to have to either bail from my trip or go to Madrid, as there is no VAC in Barcelona

Landed January 30th.. No news until now

You should get it by this month end. Ideally, you should have got it by now. I landed on 16th Jan and got card by Feb end. It took around 45 days and as per CIC timeline at that time it was the same. So hopefully you will get it soon.


My guess is there might be delay as few applicants have sent their new photos to match the new specs and their PR card printing might take priority than yours.

So my 49 days will be tomorrow (March 19) and I just called IRCC call center. They said my card is still in process. I asked them if there's anything wrong like photo specification, etc. He said no, not at this time.

He told me there's a delay in processing but he didn't say the reason why. I should be receiving my card somewhere in April.. He didn't even say sorry for the delay. What kind of public service is that?

It's just a joke, if they cannot commit the standard processing time then why bother putting it on their website. It makes people estimate things that are really uncertain with IRCC..

Yeah, but it's liberals who overwhelmed CIC. More load on the same staff means more delays. On other hand, they do not want bad statistics (remember 100+ days for processing PR cards few months ago?) - so they put these fake numbers on their website.

I've been waiting for 54 days, called them last week and they also told me about additional delays and that I have to wait till end of March before calling them again.

called CIC this morning and just said "call us after a month" i told the agent it will 90 days from landing, she said "yes"!! lol

Just called CIC this morning, they said My card is being produced (printed) just today. they will mail it from Sydney NS to my address as soon as it is printed.

Whoop whoop... Can't wait to receiving the card on my mail box...

Hi Guys,

I have have quick question, if we leave canada after landing, is our PR card processing will be on hold ?? I have landed on March 2nd and planning to visit home country(India) for three weeks vacation from this friday. My expected card delivery is april 20 as per current processing. So, if I go, will my card delivery date will be extended another 3 weeks? Is this correct? if I am out of canada, do they not process my card during that time?
