It'll be delivered just by regular mail, no signature required. Hopefully you're not traveling outside of Canada? If so, you can only get back to Canada without a PR card if you enter through a land border crossing in a private vehicle (CoPR is not a valid travel document).Hey everyone, a question for those of you who have received your card: will the card just be delivered to your mailbox or does it require your signature/you have to pick it up somewhere? I'm asking because I landed earlier this week and I'm travelling in three weeks. I wanna know if my partner will be able to pick up the card when I'm not here or if I have to be here in person to receive it. Thanks in advance!
I think the processing time posted on their website is for renewals? I'm not exactly sure. But the PR cards for newly landed immigrants do take a while to get delivered. My PR card took 22 days to process (after landing) plus another 8 days for delivery. As for linking the PR card application to your account, make sure you input the information exactly as how they're written on your CoPR (don't include the dash for the UCI number).I have landed inland on july 15th 2019 in Douglas Border, Surrey. No matter what combination I try I am unable to link my application online. The CBSA officer said it is going to be 2 months to get pr card however, on cic it says only 10 days. Does the pr card application depends on which border we land, as in how busy they are? Or is there any possibility the officer will not submit my application right away?
Congratulations to you both and good luck. Almost there!
