Hi All


I just received my PR card. Sent on July 4th . Landing date is may 9th.

Yet to receive dependent cards....

I just keep trying to figure out what the problem is....i landed April 28th,nothing yet. I've called severally. Still in process. Someone who landed may 24th has gotten it already. Wow.

ya seeing April guys and May guys receiving cards at the same time. And worst, some photo request candidates waited/waiting for 4-5 months too.

I think that we still dont see any kind of consistency with cic processing PR cards too in the same order of landing date. I was thinking at least at new PR card stage, it should be processed in the order it received unlike PR application but seems we can expect same inconsistency from cic when it comes to processing any kind of application.

Again we need to try our luck at PR card stage too like we tried our luck for ppr .

Received PR cards for my spouse & kid. I was expecting PR cards for all 3 of us to reach on the same day, hope mine arrives in next 2-3 days.

Date of landing - 2nd June at Prescott.

We landed 21st April.
21st June my wife and I recived PR cards but not for our daughter.
We call them twice and both time they said her card is in production and they can't do nothing before 2nd August ????
Our daughter traveling soon with our friends to home country and return back begining of September.
I hope her PR card will come and we can send card to her via Fedex or some other way.
I can't apply for PRTD for her from Canada and have nobody to do this for her in our home country.
Really frustrating.

Dependent upon visa/ESTA/location she can fly back to the US and enter via a land crossing. (ie: you drive down and pick her up and drive back with her COPR).

I'm assuming she's quite young, but if she's able to travel abroad with friends can't she/they help get the PRTD?

The potential strike seems to be causing all kinds of chaos. The TTC in Toronto decided they'd rather refund 58,000 people $24 each and tell them to buy a subway pass instead of sending them out 2.5 weeks early like normal.

Hi folks, I see the long delays with receiving PR cards post landing. I recollect someone mentioning issues with crossing borders without PR card. I am presently awaiting PPR within a month or two. As someone who's in Canada presently on a valid work permit and temporary resident visa, could I travel outside the country during the waiting period for the PR card? Would CoPR supersede my valid TRV?

Yes COPR supersedes your trv. In my case, it was cancelled at the border during the landing process. From what I've learnt, you can travel out of the country while waiting for your pr card. You can reenter Canada through the us by land or apply for a travel document once you are outside Canada.
