Hi All,

I did soft landing along with my family in October 25th and stayed in Toronto for 15days and moved back to USA.

My wife got an email today saying that photo sent was not matching the requirement and asked us to mail the photos by 30 days.I also noticed that the address they mentioned in the email isnt the correct one which I gave while landing.How do I get the addresses verified for all three of us?

I tried to link my and kid application but couldn’t do that.But I am able to do that for my wife.

Now can I mail them my wife latest photos from USA to Canada address?will be any issues or problems?
How do I track mine and my kids application

Just got the photo renewing mail for her.. We’re not in Canada so got to courier the photos.Anyone has information about sending to PO Box via courier?

Hello there,

I am in the same situation. I did not know that I need to resend the new photos until I called to CIC to ask for the status this morning.
The agent said there was a note in my file a week ago that they requested me to resend the photos but I have not received any notification.

Btw, Do you know at which address do we need to resend the photos? I just took the new photos today but do not know where to send them.

I got these instructions in the e-mail
Permanent resident card - Photo retake required

If you applied for a Permanent Resident card (PR card), or if you are waiting to receive your initial PR card, and the Case Processing Centre requires that you provide new photos, we invite you to:

• Send two photos according to the photo specifications, and
• Include:
  • if available, the letter/email received to that effect, or
  • an explanation letter (including your complete name, date of birth and UCI).

Where to send them

Sydney, Nova Scotia
B1P 6L1

If you would like to have proof that your photos were received, you may use registered or express mailwith Canada Post or a courier service such as Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc. Please instruct the courier service to use this address:

yup I had sent to dorchester one as I used UPS overnight... better than stupid Canada Post

I hope you have better luck .... we have 3 PR applications , 2 of them approved but 3rd one has photo request ... when I called CIC they told me the photo request sent on 23 Nov by mail ( because the application was not linked on my account) .... until now I did NOT receive this mail.... but I sent the photos according to the this call and I asked them to send me an e-mail.
I DON'T know what would happen if I didn't call CIC

Will there be any update in myaccount for photo request?

nope... u will receive email or u will receive a letter.. it never shows in cic account

use ups.. and there is one address which I think 49 Dorchester street , it will go there without issues... just try to scroll a little bit and yeah its Der on canada IRCC website as well... anything outside Canada Post is courier and goes to other address

In her mail there was only the address with P.O. Box. Is it safe and ok to send to this address without being told so? Anyone tried this and worked fine?

Two (2) new photos that meet the specifications set out in the attached document.

If we do not receive the requested information within 30 days of the date above, your application for a permanent resident card will be considered cancelled.
