Just so people aware, do not panic if you could not link your PR card application to MyCIC. I never could. Even today I tried and I could not. But, I got my PR card today via Canada post with 3 more days to go for 61 days! I landed on August 29th and got my PR card on October 26th.

So, relax and wait till 8 to 10 weeks. Good luck to all!

Just an update . Received my PR card yesterday . I reside in Mississauga. PFB my timelines FYR

Landing Date : 10 Aug 2017
PR Card Approval Date: 28 Sept 2017
PR Card Mailed on : 29 Sept 2017
Card Received : 04 Oct 2017 (Mississauga)

Was the PR card mailed by post? Do you need to be physically present when the mail is being delivered? If you are not at home, will the mail bounce back to CIC?

You don't have to be home to receive. It will be delivered to your mailbox.

will they send us an email as i read many people had to call them??

Normally they should be sending you an email request to resubmit a photo. The email includes a letter than you need to print and send back to them together with 2 new photos thru post mail. Those who called IRCC and was informed to re-send a photo, perhaps have called in prior to IRCC sending them a formal photo request email.

Yours was quick, may be because you didn't received any request to re-submit a photo. Mine was already 98 days..

Landed - 14th Aug at Pearson Airport
Photo submission request - 4th Oct (Sent photo the same day)
Photo received by IRCC - 6th Oct
PR card - waiting

Actually she will be travelling outside Canada on 24th Nov, hoping to get card before that. Applying PRTD seems difficult as she would be away for just 2 weeks and PTRD almost takes 10 working days.

Did CIC tell you why they reject your photos?

No, But what I heard is that the photos are not manually processed. They are scanned by a machine/computer and then if accepted fine or else they send email for new set of photographs.
