That was what I got too when I had the problem. Did your wife get her SIN number successfully? If she did then maybe the issue could be different. Suggest you call CIC to check then.

After a few days speaking to the agent and also emailing CIC, I managed to successfully link my daughter's application to my CIC.
We got a sin number. I will call cic tomorrow. Thanks

Hello Folks,
i landed 26th July 2017 and still waiting for PR cards.
i read in this forum about linking the account using CIC account.
I just linked my application and selected the application type as Permanent Resident Card. is that correct?
in details its showing as submitted and when I click on check messages its showing as below

Application status : We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Final decision : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Does this mean they are still processing the PR card? and do i need to keep checking this final decision or application status?

Thanks

Hey

I have spoken to Cic agent and they said I can not link my spouse application to my cic account as she is depedent in my application.

She falls under my application so it is all in one.
Thank you
Hmm. My wife and kids are listed as dependents in my COPR at the bottom with the word accompanying. On their COPR at the bottom my name is listed. When you link the PR card each one is stated as Primary in the CIC account.

Not sure why it's different in your case. I believe the rest who have managed to link the application is similar to what I have. The PR cards I'm told are mailed out individually ie. it doesn't come in one package for the whole family. That could be why each one is treated as a Primary / Individual.

Anyway good luck with the cards.

Hi. Yes this is correct when your card is still under processing. Once it ready it should turn to say Approved. Then the card should be in the mail the next couple of days is what I read.

Ya completely understand your point.
I do not know why they are saying that.
I will try calling them again tomorrow. Hopefully, I will have different agent next time.
Thank you again for your reply.

I guess on the bright side, at least you know that your wife's application is OK based on your conversation with the officer. But yeah try again to see if another officer is able to give you a different answer. Also would be good to double check that the applications for the PR cards are OK.

All the best.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello All.....

We landed July 10th, and online account turned to "APPROVED" September 5th, and we got an email September 6th (The following day)

Nevertheless, the Approved is only shown for my Spouse and myself. I have 2 Children whose application is still showing as "SUBMITTED" Has anyone been through a similar experience. Since we all landed at same time, I was thinking the will approve all our applications at one, why approve the parents while the children's are pending? Please share your thoughts....

Hi there. I think they do them separately for PR cards. For example some people here have reported that their spouse or their child having to re-submit pictures while theirs are ok...or some receiving the cards earlier than other family members.

My guess the cards a processed separately and should come around the same time but not necessarily together. Just my 2 cents
