Hi, I need a bit of information. Please help.

I have been invited to apply and will be submitting my Express Entry application in the first week of July. I believe CIC will be looking into my application then.
1. How long does it take for them to respond (typically)?
2. What is the next step if their response is positive?
3. Should I start preparing for something now expecting a favorable response?

Guys, I'm on temporary resident visa in Canada. I got my PPR and will be getting the CORP shortly. Since I need to visit my home country in August, can I do the landing when I come back from my home country at August end (as if I do the landing before, I won't get the PR card by August, blocking my travel to my hoke country). Also, I have applied under CEC and there is no need of POF. When I return from my home country to do the landing, will they ask POF to be shown. I think, I can show them the required documents that POF is not needed for CEC. Any advice on this is appreciated.

You should be able to show POF at the time of landing even if you are CEC.

Check the CIC site. They have mentioned what documents to carry at the time of landing. Many CECs have been asked POF before at the time of landing.

There was also one case where a CEC person did not have enough proof of funds and he had to return back with employment letter to complete his landing.

Card went into production: 7th June. 2017
Card received: 16th June 2017

Just called CIC Agent again this morning, said my card has not even been shipped to production yet...

Haha yea, I read processing times have shot up again. Nov 2016 - Mar 2017 was a crazy fast period - PPRs in 40-50 days. I got mine in 60 days

That said, still difficult to travel without PR card so this is an issue too

Yeah lots of room for improvement. They key to deal with CIC is PATIENCE
