Applied yesterday, lets see how long it takes. I have to travel early Feb. Hope it comes by then. fingers crossed.

I hope now the processing is very fast.
you may get it in 1-2 weeks.

I still have not got my spouse's PCC. its been almost 7 weeks now.
We contacted BLS and they have asked us to wait for 6 weeks (30 business days minimum)
I got fed up and have applied for it parallel from India thru' my folks.

if ur passport issue from canada than it will come in 1 to 3 week but for passport issue in india it will take more than 6 weeks

@Samir.
You are right about the passports issued at Toronto/Canada. But for passports issued in India.. it depends on your luck. I had my friend who had his passport issued in India got his PCC in less than 10 days.

if it is getting delayed and more than the time they mentioned on the website you can go and talkto them at their office.

one of my friend case solved very fast when he went and contacted them.

Where did your friend go and talk to?
Was it BLS or CGI?

He went to BLS

Not sure would you want to re-apply.
I think the PCC you got from Passport office should be good.
Could you please tell me the procedure of how to apply from India.
Can parents apply on behalf of their children?

Sorry for the late reply, for PCC you can walk in to the PSK (Passport seva kendra) and if your records are clear you get your PCC issued there itself.

On behalf, i am not sure . I had to register my finger prints there. So i doubt it would be possible.

This is from my personal experience and knowledge.
You can actually get the PCC from the asst commissioners office in India. You will need the parents or spouse to apply on your behalf. I got it done for my spouse at the commissioners office while my spouse's PCC applied at CGI is still in process.
I am yet to see the PCC report as to what is written on it (usually passport number of applicant appears on the report).
As far as CIC is concerned I believe they need a PCC from your country's government. I think I will have to wait and see.
