i guess u can talk to the customer care for pr card and let them know about the same.. may be u might have to send them your ticket or so and they do read somewhere that they process it on urgent basis.. check out with them.. hope it helps...

Man you have to wait for PR Card, or you can apply for Travel Document if you go to India/backhome without PR Card. It takes about 35-40 days to get Travel document.

In your case you could have done was goto india before doing landing and do the landing when you come back from India.

For now I think you are gonna have to wait for PR Card.

The urgent processing is for renewal of PR Card not for New Pr Card applications.

Don't worry about it. I landed June 24th and got my card this week and my ecas still has no info on my PR card.

Thanks a lot mate. I have to goto India in Oct so looks like I will get it by that time

actually yeah... i did read somewhere about getting the pr card on urgent basis..but was not sure..
now i got to know that its not applicable for the first time PR cards... thanks alot for letting me know this.

My ECAS for PR card application shows "COMPLETE". But when I click to see the detail, it shows the following:
1.We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 7, 2014.
2.We started processing your application on July 30, 2014.

Didn't mention anything about when the application was completed. CIC forgot to update I assume?

nope we need not do anything, for the 1st time pr card.. the officer does it by himself when u go for landing.. renewal pr card i am not sure looks like we need to fill an application then.

Just noticed an update to my ECAS status today.
It now shows the Application for PR Card and status: "In Process"
1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 20, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on August 19, 2014.

Moving along like a herd of turtles!
