Someone mentioned that not everyone gets updates online. You may get PR card without updates

Our PR cards arrived in the mail today.

On what day did you land?

Maybe use our timeline as a rough guide?

Our ECAS didn't update until about a week after it indicated they have received our PR card application.
Look for ECAS update about six weeks after you landed. Before then, no point in worrying about it.

I'm guessing they make these PR cards in batches, maybe weekly or bi-weekly.

So if you landed on 30th July and they process about the same speed as they did our application,
then you may not see ECAS for another week or so. Then the card should take another 3-5 weeks after that.

ECAS now showing PR Card Application Status:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 11, 2014.

We started processing your application on August 7, 2014.

yep.... looks like we get update for pr card in the same Ecas..as we did to check our application status.

it won't be a separate window.

you will see two boxes one for PR Application Statuc and the second for PR Card Application status.

i saw the PR status one month after landing ..

Well so far no update in Ecas for me not sure what exactly going on.. sent an email to cic.. hope i get a reply from them.. just curious

We received our cards just a few days after ECAS status went to Complete.

I'm not sure the Permanent Resident Card from the pull down menu is the place to look.
That might be for people who are already permanent residents but ordering a new card.

Go into the exact same log in that you used to check the ECAS status for your permanent resident application.

Then, on that page where it says "Permanent Residence Application(s) " and the link "Completed" next to it.
There should be another box below that with the heading "Permanent Resident Card Application"
That box looks the same as the Permanent resident application box. Beneath the heading, is a space for "Applicant" (your name) followed by "Permanent Resident Card Application Status", like the "Permanent Residence Application Status" just above it for your original application.

You select the new link to track the progress of your PR CARD application.

If it isn't there yet, don't worry. Just keep checking back every few days or week or so. It came up for me about 5 weeks after I landed. Card arrived about a month after that.

Thanks buddy... yeah today i am able to see my pr card status in Ecas
its exactly as u described.. looks like they started processing my application on sept 9th, need to wait n watch till it says complete..
anyways alas !! am happy i am able to track it
