Hi there! I am from Mexico, I am 23 years old, I just graduated from University this past December, this April I want to come to Canada to visit my girlfriend who is a Canadian citizen, we met in Canada in 2013 we dated there for a month and then I came back to Mexico and she has come twice to visit me, once in 2014 and once in 2015, because of my graduation my father gave me 6 thousand dollars which I would like to spend in Vancouver with my girlfriend, I'd like to stay there for 4 months, what should I do to assure that I will get the tourist visa? she will write an invitation letter for sure but I am afraid that I am not giving a strong reason for them to believe that I am not gonna stay longer than my visa allows me, I still have to come back to mexico because even though I finish the 47 years program of my school I need to do a thesis so I can get my bachelor degree (diploma or I don't know what you call it) I have worked in Europe, Unites States and of course Canada, does that help? can someone give me some advises for my application and the invitation letter that my girlfriend has to elaborate? I would appreciate some help, thank you very much!

Hey there!

I think in your case you really need to show your ties back home, so they are convinced that you will return and not overstay in Canada. If you are enrolled in school and plan on continuing your studies, show that. If you own some property or have a lease agreement with a landlord, show that. If you have any future appointments or meetings scheduled in Mexico, give them proof. Family ties back home is also good, so you can have your family write a letter as well. Do you have a job in Mexico? Get them to write you a letter saying that they approve your time off and will take you back upon your return...

Hey Raul!

Yes you can submit more than one invitation letter, but I would do it only if it adds more information, not just repeat what the other letter said, know what I mean?
For example, I wrote a letter of invitation for my boyfriend's application. We also got one of my friend who's an MP in Canada to write a support letter for him, which we hope adds credibility to his application.
Your girlfriend can write a strong invitation letter and your friend can write something to confirm your plans together or something like that..

Excuse me, I have another question, My dad bought an apartment for me years ago, I don't rent it nor use it because I don't really need it, but all the documents that prove the apartment is mine are in Spanish, can I translate it myself or it has to be an specific person?
