Hey guys.

I'm a little bit nervous about one detail of my profile.

I have the following work experience, all in the same NOC:
- April/2010 ~ January/2011, 18 hours a week
- February/2011 ~ February/2012, 28 hours a week
- July/2013 ~ now, 44 hours a week

So, just to make it clear, I'm eligible to EE under FSW, because I have more than one year continuous experience.
Since I'm eligible, the system considers more than 3 years experience in total, because all of my experience is added up.

Is that correct? I saw this information in an old post, related to FSW, but since it was before Express Entry, I just want to make sure the rules are still the same.

Can you help me with that?

(just fyi, the system considered it as a 3+ years work experience, but I'm still not 100% confident about it, you may call me a paranoid)

No you will only get credit for the experience from July 2013 till now. CRS considers a full-time week to be 30 hrs per week.

But that's not what happened. CRS considered 3+ years in my final score

Is it possible to amend your profile so that you only reflect the work experience from July 2013 till now? The alternative is to wait till the 3 years has passed. You should still get credit for the 2 years you have worked. Also you can declare the 'part-time' work in Personal history if you get an ITA.

The thing is that I've already got an ITA, so I can't change my profile. And I don't think the system has a bug. A bug like that would have been corrected. So I believe that if a candidate has at least 1 year experience, the rest of the experience is cumulative. And I think it makes sense.

This is the post I was talking about: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/counting-work-experience-fsw-t232856.0.html

There are 2 things to do here.

Step 1:
First calculate and see if you would still maintain your CRS score if you got 2 years instead of 3 years. Remember your CRS score (if you only assumed CRS points for 2 instead of 3 years) must be higher than the minimum score in the 'Round of Invitations' you were invited in:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

If you are successful in (Step 1), then

Step 2:

See if you still meet the FSW criteria (assuming 2 years instead of 3):

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp

Only go ahead with your application if you can pass these 2 steps.

I am sorry but that is simply not true. You only need to have the equivalent of 1 year of full-time work experince to meet the requirements but 2 years at 15 hours and 1 year at 30 hours are counted the same.

It doesnt matter how many hours you worked.

In order to calculate your total work experience you only need to count how many years of full-time work experience it all adds up to.

If somebody has 6 years of 10 hour part time ork, they will be counted as having 2 years of full time work experience and get points for that.

Not sure how the part time works. My guess is 104 weeks at 15 hrs?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think that topoc also helps: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/foreign-work-experience-under-multiple-nocs-skill-transferability-crs-t386975.0.html;msg4829111#msg4829111
There is a difference between being eligible to FSW and the CRS points.

It seems that one needs 1 continuous year, full-time, in the same noc just to be eligible. If one of one's work experiences meets those requirements, all of the other experiences can be added up, no matter the requirements.

I was also confused until last week, but I think that it makes sense that way.
