michaelab - you will be fine! Buffalo is not a tough office. My office denies 40% of cases, and in almost all cases requires an interview. I've never heard of anyone who had their interview waived at Accra, but that is our goal!

Kess - send even the bad photos! Also send a letter explaining that you do not take many photographs.

For everyone else who is just starting this process, start taking photos together! Most of our pictures together are 'self photos' with my husband holding the camera at arms length! These were always my favourite pictures though, every time we were together I would want dozens of pictures of the two of us that I could look at during those long stretches apart. (We have been together for only 55 days of our 23 month relationship, on 8 separate trips to visit him)

We send a total of 40 photos. From when we began dating, with friends and family, our wedding, our baby shower, the birth of our twins, their dedication and his visit to my country.

I have never been so glad in my life that my mum chooses to document every single moment we are together with a million photographs so I was able to find pictures all the way back to 1998 when we had my engagement/going away party. The trouble for me was that I am not a picture taker so I had photos of our daughter but not usually with either of us in it so I wrote on the back who took the picture if one of us wasn't in it. We sent about 40 pictures.

After reading I went to search my photo albums (on computer) and only candid pics I found were us drinking (me on his lap laughing and we both look very happy and drunk! yikes!!) and kissing !! The quality on both were pretty bad but that might not be a bad thing since its kinda embarrassing to even show those pics!

Its hard to find good pics (candid pics) since we would like to spend time together and not taking pics..i am sure everyone would agree. :D

Some have sent 10, others 200. Honestly, it is all about the quality! Best not to overwhelm the IO with thousands of pictures, but you do want to convince. Mine is going to have about 60, a few from each occasion. Hopefully it does the trick. :-)
