Total hours for express entry

Hello

I started working for an employer in Canada 1 year ago. My total hours are 1560. But some weeks I worked more than 30 hours and some weeks less than 30 hours, although the total hours worked are 1560 in a year
would this create any problem in my PR application??

I will submit my Payslip and employment letter for work experience proof. My pay period was monthly. so my payslips will be like
jan 165 hours
Feb 100 hours
march 97 hours
april 120 hours

so by this will they be able to make out that my hours for some weeks were less ???

The important thing here is: You can count your hours up to 30 per week. Every week that you have worked more that 30, those additional hours you should not count them.

For instance:

• Week1: 34 hours
• Week2: 25 hours
• Week3: 40 hours
• Week4: 20 hours.

For CIC purposes these count as: 30+25+30+20=105 (not 119 which is the real count).

However if they are broken down by month: You can count up to 120 hours per month (every 4 weeks), any hours worked beyond that you should not count them towards your hours worked.

For example:

• Month1: 120 hours
• Month2: 150 hours
• Month3: 190 hours
• Month4: 80 hours.

These would count as: 120+120+120+80=440 (instead of 540)

This because 52 weeks * 30 hours per week= 1560 hours

Remember these hours should be distributed as follows: 1560 over at least 1 year (52 weeks) and no more than 30 hours a week.

so in that case I will consider my hours for the months that I worked 120Hours
And for other months that I worked less than 120 hours. I should not count them
And instead work few more months until I am eligible?
Or is there any other possibility ??

You need to work additional time to be able to say that you have a full year of work experience.

Ummm... usually people who are paid once a month are paid on a salary basis, not an hourly wage. If you are salaried, you only need your letter of reference /work experience letter to state the number of hours you work per week.

If you ARE paid an houly wage, and have to punch a clock or complete time sheets, then you should know that you can count both full-time and part-time work, but they are counted differently. You need 52 weeks to meet the 1 year requirement.

Full time is 30 or more hours per week, and you simply count the weeks. Part-time weeks are fewer than 30 hours per week, you add up the hours and divide by 30 to get the full-time equivalent (FTE) number of weeks. Add the FT and FTE number of weeks, when you have 52 you have met the 1 year requirement.

Actually no, if you worked more than 120 hours you should only count up to 120 hours. If you worked less, you should count them.

As long as you don't count more than 120 per month, you are fine.
