Too late to apply?

Hello,

I am submitting my application next month (December), is it too late for me to apply? I have my IELTS on Saturday.

The reason for it being late, is because I was waiting to get 1 years experience for my NOC.

Depends on your NOC. If it is not capped yet then you can apply.

its probably late if you apply now and if the cap has reached 538 already. remember the cap is till july-august from may. so u have aug, sept , oct and nov applicants before you when u apply in december and they may fill the cap to 1000 . also if have your ielts this saturday then u will be able to send you applicaiton by mid of december . thats on the edge.

what do u mean by Screening of the applications. do u mean all the applications received by CIC are updated into the cap number in the CIC site? as far as i know its the count of complete applications and they only know its a complete application when they open the application. they are opening applications now where were received in july august and sending PERs

There is no harm to apply. But you must have heard that the FSW process is going to apply from Jan 2015 and this current process will stop whether the NOC reach its CAP or not. I am also intending to apply in Dec 2014 last week since my educational documents have to go to ECW.

God knows that what would be the treatment.

Any expert advise please.

I'll suggest to prepare all the docs and apply. Even in case when express entry launches you will have your application in line.

Dear Salman,

I don't have any update and I believe no one can be sure. What I personally hope is that the EE will get delayed. May be til late Jan15. So people still have time. I expect that the EE forms will have options like UCI number for the people whose application is in process. And I believe that EE will give a very good chance to in progress applicants as employers will always prefer a person who will be available early. This is what I THINK. Let's see what happens.

I still have to send off my educational documents too. What is ECW? I have been looking at WES. These documents have to be sent to Canada? That will take too long and we will probably be too late.

Dear,
As per the process, we first have to send our educational documents to WES for equivalency check. Once we get the report than only we can send our whole bunch of documents to CIC for "Positive Eligibility Report" (PER). Without it CIC will not accept our file.

Late, is also my big concern because WES will take almost a month but we don't have any other option. It is better to start process now. We might have a chance.

fakenoob , Screening means the "files are been checked by the CIC officer".
As to my information once our files reached CIC through DHL or whatever service, Immediately after 2 weeks’ time it reaches the CIO [Intake office] and a stamp is put on the cover page, this stamp certify that the file has to be reviewed by that date particular date.
For example if an applicant dispatches his or her file say 25th September, file reached CIC on 1st October, in two weeks’ time its moved on to actual CIO office and they put a stamp [ & CAPS are updated at this stage]
