I've IELTS exam on OCT 26 2013. I'll be preparing my other documents in the mean time. I'll apply as soon as I get the IELTS result. Will I be too late to apply for category "Computer programmer" ?

kya hoga koi nahi keh sakta raam jaane :)

but it seems you're way too late for 2147/ 2174.. did you got your ECA done ?
Focus on your IELTS.. target max. score and it will help you for filing it in future :)

What do you mean by 2147/2147? I'm starting to prepare my documents as we speak.
that is NOC for your occupation.

Oh thanks. It's only 120 atm. Do you think it will cross 300 by 6 months?
that is for sure that the cap will be reached by next 6 months. In the CIC website the figure shows 120. But in reality the number is much above. May be by this time it is close to 300.

The cap was probably reached in May or June.

Thanks for the info I guess I won't process then. I guess the 120 quotas so far are from: "The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate." It has been few months already after that.

Any idea when the list will be updated again?

I found this on the bottom of the page: "Date Modified:2013-07-29" and under footnote: "The number of complete federal skilled worker applications received as of May 4, 2013 is an estimate."

So when was this list last updated? If this was updated in 2013-07-29 then I guess the quote won't be filled within next 3-4 months. I think majority of people will have already applied at the beginning of the program announcement. So the number will increase sharply at the beginning and slow down?

Is this based on speculation or past experience because the website only shows 120 so far.
I think the number shown in the cic website is the estimate of total completed application been reviewed by cic. But a lot of applications which are already arrived at cic are waiting for their review and this number is not known. In the forum we can get a very rough estimate of the number as applicants from different parts of the world input their information voluntarily.

the list is updated every week.
