Hi Guys,

Please has anyone got toddlers medical experience, I have a 28 months old son with delayed speech and I am worried he may fail medical. We have had all kinds of test done for him and doctors assure us there is nothing wrong with him and that he is just a late developer and he will catch up.

Has anyone had a medical done for a toddlers and what does it entail?

Thanks in advance

They would just do height and weight check..no blood work..no X ray..doc may check eyes, ears and basic checks using stethoscope..

I had a toddler n an infant.....my toddler was asked to read the alphabets during the eye test. However, they will ask you if the child can read or not.....so just say NO and that will be it.....nothing to worry about.

Thank you guys very much for your replies. Just one more question my kids don't have a passport yet,do they need a passport for medical or will their birth certificate be acceptable?

You'll have to check with the practitioner for the acceptability of birth certificate. AFAIK, for emedicals the doctors have to select some kind of ID proof from a drop down list in the software. So if the birth certificate is acceptable in the list, you should be good :)

My child was just asked to spell her name and she had a urine test done
