Todays CAP update for every FSW

It's so sad that my application was determined to be NOT ELIGIBLE...

Under NOC 3152 Registered Nurses. Application was received and processed on Aug 10, 2011... I had an arranged employment with my current employer but they did not honor it since it is under Level C or D position so I'm no longer exempted from the CAP.

I was so confident that if my arranged employment will not be honored, I can still beat the CAP since it was less than half at that time.

CIC said that CAP was reached when they processed my application. This means that your application will be included in the CAP 2-3 months after they received it. I don't know how long it takes for an application to be assessed. No point updating the Census every week... Sorry.. I was just so dissapointed.

my question is that...can we make it within the cap?
will my application be counted when it reaches cic office or when they start working on my file..

I remember mailing my application on the 7th of August and they received it on the 8th (as per Canada Post's tracking system). They opened and started processing my application on the 10th of August. It is not by then that they will include you in the cap because if i remember it right, the cap for noc 3152 is around half of the maximum... let me know if u received yours...

Total complete applications received since July 1, 2011
On July 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for Federal Skilled Worker applicants changed.

Between July 1, 2011, and June 30, 2012, a maximum of 10,000 complete Federal Skilled Worker applications will be considered for processing. Within the 10,000 cap, a maximum of 500 Federal Skilled Worker applications per eligible occupation will be considered for processing within this same time frame.

Starting November 5, 2011, CIC will accept a total of 1,000 applications from international students who have completed at least two years of study towards a PhD and or who graduated from a Canadian PhD program in the 12 months before the date their application is received by CIC. These limits do not apply to applications with an offer of arranged employment (job offer).
