My classes are also from 9th Jan,i have booked my flight as well for 26th Dec. Don't know what to do.
this getting really nervy!! dont worry, my best bet is we should hear something before the 30th.!! as they dont give the permit wqell in advance. atleast thats what i have heard
i have heard that embassy is off from 23rd Dec as they have winter holidays, so if we don't receive the visa this week, then we would have to wait till 2nd Jan.
have you guys linked your paper-based application to online?
I had been refused once, which was the online application, that's why I am not linking my current application with old account. Moreover, I have mentioned in my LOE that I was refused once on xxx grounds.
I sceptical whether I should link my current offline application to previous account or not.
Anyone facing similar dilemma?

There is no problem linking offline application to online because online linking is only for tracking, you have already submitted your documents online. So online linking doesn't lead to refusal. its only for tracking.
I just check my cic account, the only change there is MEDICAL : PASSED... no intruction for passport submission
