Hi Everyone
I'm new here to the forum, but was searching for quite sometime to find something close to this, with others in the same boat as me.
I'd like to share my story, and ask if anyone knows approximately how much longer it will take for my immigration file to be processed.
I live in Lebanon, and my wife and I applied for immigration November 2010. She is a Canadian citizen, born and raised in Canada. We applied on November 22, 2010. She got her sponsorship application accepted on January 2nd, and the visa office in Syria received my part of the application on January 10th. We received an email from the embassy on August 13th, and I had to send in an updated police check, and army check, an updated questionnaire asking about my wife's tax information, and I had to pay for the Right of Permanent Residence fee. We finished everything they asked for, and the embassy received everything by August 16th. Now we are playing the waiting game. We've been trying to email immigration, but with no luck and no replies. Anyone else have experience? How long did it take you?
