BUT in my case,PPR,MEDICLS &RPRF were asked together [see timeline]

pls justify the statement of mentioned link.....

now the Q is ....when will i get my visa ?

U'll get it after your security checks r over. Not all CHCs do the 2 together [generally CHC-ND is unique about it]. Even then, the security clearance is a precursor to the visa stamping.

@ QUORAX :- I have gone through the thread you have posted, however i just coulnt figure out that what is the maximum timeline that they can keep your passport with them. In my case its ben more than 2 months. I have been to UK for 1.5 yr . I have submitted my PCC from UK ( an Original one). 2 months gone. i have sent out a mail to them... However no reply from them....Please help me to understand few things:-

1) what is the maximum period they can keep my passport
2) what happens once maximum time period is exhausted.
3) CHC is not replying to any of my mails...what should i do now..
4) The DD of rs 490$ has already been encashed by CHC 2 month back.what does it mean
5) Can i ask them to Return my passport and carry on with their investigation .once they are satisfied , they can ask for my passport again..cos i might need it to travl to germany for few months.

Hi Amrit,

i am also in same situation, they can hold your passport until their sweet will. Some members are waiting for more than five months, i am also waiting for more than three months. But in your case it is only two months, so still there is some hope that you will get visa soon as they are not responding to your mail which mean it is under normal time frame. But if you get mail that some background investigation are going on then you have wait for 5-6 months or even upto one year. You can follow some cases in this thread.........

I have also observed that most of cases have foreign travel are waiting for long for security clearance than others who are getting visa in 30-40 days.

1. There is no 'real' feedback anywhere about the max time frame the pps can be held. However, in another forum there was a post [sometimes back] that it seems it could be a max of 21 months... not sure though.

2. If the security clearance is stuck for any reason... the visa might be declined. However, there r many cases where the applicant had to do a remed once again after 1r. But usually, the visa/s should come by 7 months. Avg 3-4 months... many get it in 5 months.

3. Send another one thru the CIC 'web-form'.

4. The DD encashment means nothing. It's just a procedural matter... done by the accounts dept. of the CHC.

5. DANGER: Never, ever ask for the pps to be returned... it might come back to u w/out the visa/s & the VO'd ask u to submit it later [when u can] and the Security clearance will start all over again. -Time waster scenario.

@pps7 :- Thanks for ur quick reply...i am in a serious trouble cos...if i am asked to go to germany... i have to lie them that i cannot go because of some personal reason..... however if they come to know abt my plans of immigrating to canada ...my appraisal for this year will in jeopardy.....i dont want to take that chance.....i seriously dont understand the motive behind keeping the passport for such long duration.....Hard to understand their working.....

isnt the PCC, a good enough and satisfactory document for the Visa Officer to give u a clean chit in the security check and grant you the visa. Why do they keep u waiting even after you had submitted the PCC. Doesn't make sense. :-\

i got the PCC from The Association of Chief Police Officers Criminal Records Office (ACRO) United kingdon . Requestd for 2 copies so that i can keep one with me and send another one to CHC. And another PCC from India that too original one.... Still waiting for the last 2 Months to get my passport....Lets wait for more weeks....

File BXXXXXXXXX ( LCY) >>> what does LCY?? represent,, as what is reflected when CIC faxed a letter for my spouse for JD background check.

Notes: I am a principal applicant but they did a background check to my wife JD

Those r nothing but initials of your VO & his staff. But why 2 file nos. mentioned in one letter? Usually they'd proceed with one.

actually it is only file number... what wonders me is the initialz coz i am thinking it has something to do with my papers since it is been long time my status say " in process" --- more than 3 months

also, they didnt check my JD or employment BC but instead they did check my wife JD. is this un usual?

Don't worry , u r not the only one. I too have a FTH as I was working on cruise ship, though i have been to few places but have not stayed more than 6 months anywhere other than India. Just keeping my fingers crossed now. Though have a PNP application , my previous federal application filed in Nov 2005 has been withdrawn on 29 March 2010 by CHC themselves. In their manuls its states that in order to finalise one application the other application has to be withdrawn. Its nearly 45 days since this has happened, still waiting for PP to be returned with Visa stamped on it. People who have FTH have to wait a little extra. Just have patientce.

I know how ur feeling now.
It is indeed a true test of our patientce.
