To put N/A or to not... That is the question

On the forms on questions where I answered NO should I put N/A in the blanks? Or is just answering the question no good enough?

For example: Have you ever sponsored someone besides your spouse to come to Canada?

I answered NO. So in the banks provided should I also write N/A?

It doesn't really matter, but go ahead and put N/A.
