Canadians did their part by engaging in the election process and sent a clear message that change was needed. However, our work as citizens, and future citizens is not over. We need to engage our new government and provide them with our constructive feedback, and ask for accountability.
I'm writing a letter to my MP, the PM, the leaders of the opposition parties about some improvements that can be made with CIC in how they communicate with clients and update us on the progress of our applications. I've provided them with the link of this forum (Family Class). I created this thread for us to provide specific examples of how communication from CIC (whether ECAS update inconsistent, letter with confusing info, phone call to call centre with lack of info, etc) has been a challenge.
I INVITE YOU TO DESCRIBE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF INCONSISTENT OR POOR COMMUNICATION FROM CIC HERE. Please try to be clear in describing the problem and also say how you think it could have been done to improve the system.
THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO ASK FOR INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SPECIFIC CASE. I am trying to highlight to our politicians, some of the opportunities for improvement by providing specific examples.
Also, it would be great to not only focus on challenges..but examples where things have gone well. This will make our request more credible and useful.
