Hello!

Hope someone would have an answer for my inquiry.

We have received an ITA and are currently finalizing our application.

I am currently a PhD student at the University of Toronto, but have only claimed points for my BSc and MSc (both from outside Canada & both have a WES report).

Under education history section, do I need to state I am currently studying PhD? I have only started last fall and hence I dont have any transcript to support this study at the moment. & if I don't, would the officer consider this incomplete information?

TIA!

You should have something listed in your transcripts. If you haven't taken any courses, your PhD thesis should probably be in your transcript with no grade of course. I have no comments as to whether report it or not. I have no idea. But if you do, your transcripts should be fine supporting your status.

I would mention it. There's an option to start if the studies are currently in process.

I haven't mentioned it during our application for the EE pool. I am just worried I do now & they mention I didn't include it in the initial EE profile.

Mention it and include an explanation letter to say why.

Did you only mention education for which you got an ECA?

Yes, only those for which I have ECA (BSc and MSc).
If I mention it, I need not get a transcript from my university of Toronto, right?
I guess also canadian universities dont need an ECA, ya?

In that case you could explain that you only mentioned the education for which you were getting an ECA and say that the UoT PhD is in progress but is not completed so you wouldn't get points for it.

Hello,
if you a current student at U of T they probably won't ask you for transcripts because you have not graduated. you won't get any points for it because you haven't graduated, so put it in your personal history in the activities section and in the education section with the "this is my current studies" section.
The worst that can happen is that you have to ask the post graduate students office at U of T to write a letter saying you a current PhD student doing research not classes and upload that instead of a transcript because the computer system they are using does not discriminate between under graduate and post graduate.
