Further to your question (and my answer) about a PR card being an acceptable piece of ID, someone else in a different thread said that an agent at the Call Centre said it is not. Although you said you have no other option for a government-issued ID, be sure to check into that question, at least by calling the Call Centre yourself, before applying.

Over the 55-year-old is not required to language exam
*And also Canada- knowledge exam must understand the rights and responsibilities
of Canadian citizenship and learn the history of Canada ؟

At the present time, if you are 55 or older you do not have to attach language proof or take the knowledge of Canada test.
