Hi folks!
As we all do, I am obsessing about our application and anything that could cause us problems.
We submitted the Schedule A a while ago, and our application has reached AOR2 stage in Mexico. I have just realized that maybe we didn't include a detail that we should have:
In 2015, before we became common-law and submitted our PR applicatioin, my partner was refused his first TRV application because he messed up on the computer system and didn't upload the supporting documents correctly. He re-applied a week later, correctly, and was successful.
In Schedule A, when it asks about whether you have ever been refused a visa etc., we detailed the other refusals (eg. Study permit in Canada etc.) but did not include that first refusal.
I'm wondering if folks from the forum think we should get in touch with Mexico VO somehow and add this/resend the edited form with a cover letter explaining?
I'm pretty sure this is the right thing to do, but not 100% certain how to go about doing it!
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi. I think it would not hurt, but I don't know if it's necessary. I don't think it would be a concern for them unless there are some other concerns. You can be 100% sure they would see in their system that he was refused for that TRV though, so perhaps that will raise a question from their end as to why you did not mention it. Given that the next TRV was approved, I don't think that there would be much of an issue with this. If you are really obsessive about it, just for your peace of mind you should do it. You can just send a webform inquiry explaining it, I really don't think you'd need to submit a new Schedule A form, just a little paragraph explaining it would be enough.

I would definitely submit a CSE as well as email Mexico with a new version of the form (with correct response) and a letter to state why you are submitting a new form

Thanks to both of you.
I wonder, since I am the Sponsor, and the Representative- should I submit the form, letter, CSE on behalf of my partner, or should he do it since the Schedule A is technically just concerning him?
What do you think?

I think it would be better if the PA does it. Like you say, the Schedule A form is about him, not the sponsor.

I submitted a forgotten page of the passport for my husband... hes the pa. Im the rep as well. I think it doesnt matter - as long as they have the correct info asap

Thanks to you both. @starnaenae , since you are dealing with Mexico VO as well, can you tell me what e-mail address you have been sending things to? I'm not 100% sure how to go about send a CSE nor an e-mail to them. My file transfer letter just says any contact should be through IRCC Webform (is this the same as CSE?).
You are saying 1. e-mail directly to VO and 2. CSE, correct? Thanks so much!!

Hey. Just email them dont worry about the cse. When you email include file number and uci. They may take a few days to respond. Ask for confirmation that its been added to the file.

Hi geografa,

Here is the email address I have been using to MVO:

mexico-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca

The neat thing is you instantly get an auto reply and thus you know your email has been received!

Cheers!

This is general email for the mexico visa office. They forward to the appropriate department. The one i mentioned above is the emakl address the visa officers use to correspond. You will get an auto reply as well.

Oh wow, I did not know that. Thanks for clarifying! I truly thought it was the other way around as I have gotten correspondence, namely requests (remedical and PPR), from MVO from the email address you mention and they clearly state on that correspondence and website to write to the one I provided if you have a question or enquiry. Cheers!
