Tired of the Complaining

How about people who applied since 2004 , 2005 , 2006 ,2007 and before Feb 2008 (skill workers) ?....They are still waiting for the decision because they still hope will in 20000 lucky applicants even they knew CIC will return fees to 280000 applicants .
You complain to other applicants who are still worry about their applications because you have already got your PR. Congratulation !
I bet you will complain too if your application was submitted on 2004 and there is no news till now and still in process if you check it in CIC website.

Really?! I admit that sometimes questions that are asked here seem simple and can easily be answered by reading instructions, HOWEVER, not everyone deals with the stress of applying for something so important in the same way and many feel that they need support for even the simplest things because this process is so scary and daunting. Who are you (or me) to say to someone that their quescrtion is not important or their complaint/concern is not valid because, to them, it is.

I'm glad that you are sitting on your "comfy couch" in Canada and now feel that you can safely criticise those who are still stressing about this process or who had a harder battle with CIC timelines/issues than yourself. Congratulations. But, considering YOU TOO are complaining (which is annoying) and, in a way, insulting people (whether you meant to or not), you should heed your own advice. Unless you are on this forum after receiving your PR to help people, I do not really see much point in your coming on at all to read posts that annoy you and make you upset and then for you criticise. If I had my PR already and the way people posted on this site bothered me so much and I did not have any advice to give to help posters, I think I would probably... oh... I dunno... NOT COME ON THE SITE.

So thank you for adding one more "complaint" to the site, you've essentially just done the opposite of what you wanted.

The only posters that annoy me are the ones that are completely negative, drowning in self-pity, blaming everyone else for their problems OR the rude people that insult other. (And no poster in this thread fits my definition of either.) I usually ignore those people. They are allowed to be how they wish and I don't have to read it!

I completely understand the rants and gripes of 99% of users. I have sympathy for those of you who run into problems. Immigration has a lot of details. One missed signature can throw a wrench in the whole thing.

I'm happy for 100% of PR approvals, marriages, and births.

Agreed with everything, but want to add onto the last part. While my spouse IS with me, with him not able to work and me not having a full time job, it's very stressful. Immigration is VERY stressful. Throw in some financial stuff and it's WAAAAAAAY stressful.

Many of those who vent their frustration also receive + marks. They are not just complaining. People can be down and that's when they need positive energy and encouragement from fellow applicants/sponsors. I give out my positiveness when they need it. And it would be grateful if someone else does it for me if and when I need it.

I sympathize with many people. I was lucky in the sense that my husband was from a visa exempt country, and he was able to spend the entire 7 months of processing with us here.

My cousin on the other hand has married someone from a non-visa exempt country. She is unable to get a TRV and therefore can not be with him. She is pregnant, and her country has a VERY long wait time. I (and you) had it VERY easy.

Yeah I agree, I see a lot of people complaining when their spouse gets denied a visa at interview, or their application takes a long time, and even they say, they did everything right, no red flags, etc. But then it turned out, for example, a spouse got denied visa because they got married just 2 months after they met, or an application is taking 2+ years to process, but then it turns out, the sponsor only sent 15 pics of him and his wife, and neither parents attended the wedding.

I want to add, for some people this forum is the ONLY place they have to vent frustrations and stresses of the immigration process. Here they can find people who understand and can offer support and advice. They may not have anyone in the "real world" that they can talk to. I know I had a hell of a time trying to explain to my family (and my husband's family) that it's just not as simple as moving over the border, and PR/citizenship isn't automatic just because we're married. They would ask questions, then just tune out while I was trying to answer. Finding others who understood, even if it's just through a computer screen, can be incredibly helpful.

Yeah, some people can be really annoying here, but simply not reading their threads is easy enough. Lots of people get frustrated, but they just want to be with their loved ones and start a life together. In this whole process, what is simple for one person might be stressful for another. Help the posters you can, offer support to the ones you can't, and ignore the ones that "annoy" you. Easy!

I agree with this completely, i dont complain much on the forum, but i do know in my real world it is very hard to explain to friends and family how complicated and difficult the process is, noone really seems to understand, or even care to understand for that matter. so i have made some very close friends on this forum, who i talk to outside of it now, and we have a great time venting to eachother, because we completely understand eachother ;D

And yes some processes are very easy for people, and others have to wait forever to be with their loved ones, its not all flowers and rainbows for everyone going through the process. although im sure we all wish it was!

Amen to this!.
I did follow everything exactly as CIC's guide tells you and then waited and waited patiently for year and a half inland. Keeping myself busy with the house chores and stuff. Never called any CIC agents at all nor any need for MPs.
Leon's thread atop of all the threads should be highlighted in red, rather than blue as it appears that people don't see it.
Either that, or it is my belief that most people come into this forum with no idea of what is it they want to do or how to do it and expect us to just about fill the forms for them and mail them too. We certainly aren't lawyers to a lot of their whining and complaining or to their laziness to read guides.

English is my native language. I even had to ask a few things here to get it straight. It is not laziness in regards to reading guides. It is a BIG and SCARY venture. I didn't want to mess anything up.
