By the way are u able to apply/ submit the uploaded docs online I don't find a submit button.

I am completing form 5710...the 3rd question on the form says - 'I am applying for one or more of the following'
1. A work Permit with Same employer
2. An initial Work permit or a work permit with new employer
3. Restoration of your status as a Worker
4. temporary Resident Permit...

What should I select?

Hi,
I got my AOR and waiting for my medicals.
My current WP is getting expired on Feb 16, 2016.
And, I am going back to my country on Oct 16,2015 for my marriage.
I wanted to apply for BOWP on Paper and leave.
As the eligibility says that you can apply for BOWP when your WP is getting expired in 4 months or less.
That means, I can apply for BOWP on or after October 16, 2015 which happens to be the same date of my travel.
Is it that my Application has to reach CPC on or before October 16, 2015.
What if I my application reaches before October 16.
Please advise ???

- IMM 5710
- IMM 5556 (Document checklist)
- Fee (receipt)
- photocopy of passport
- photocopy of work permit
- photocopy AOR (1st AOR)

Do I still need to submit a letter stating that I applied for express entry and will apply for BOWP since mine will expire on January 20, 2016?
Do I also need pictures?

Hey,
Why are you applying so early? As I can see from your list you still haven't received 2nd AOR, which is a requirement for BOWP for Express entry applicants.

You have plenty of time to wait for a 2nd AOR because you can apply for BOWP even a day before it expires as far as you have all the documents ready (that's what they told me in CIC when I called them) and you will be able to send them to CIC.

Should I do paper-based or online application? I might not have the 2nd AOR through Express Entry...

Can I ask what did you pick after all?
When I called to CIC they told me for BOWP only paper applications should be submitted.

You can apply for BOWP online from your country provided you have a canadian credit card.

As said your agent "anyone can apply if your WP will expire 4 months or less" with all required paperwork.
I think you have more than enough time to wait for 2nd AOR or even for PR before Jan 20.

Hello All,

I need some advice. I am a Aug 2014 CeC Applicant and am waiting for updates on the Pr status but my PGWP expires on Jan 30,2016. I will be applyong for my BOWP in the next 2 weeks. However my wife recently had to move back to our home country because of professional reasons. She also was given an open work permit based on my status in Canada which expires the same day as mine. How do I handle her BOWP application? Please guide! I need help on this matter and your response are very much appreciated!!

Do I have to enter all the recent employment history?

After applying for the PR I switched jobs and Did not notify CIC about the employment change.
Should I enter the new employment details?
Will it affect my PR application status?

Hi Seniors,

I am filling out a paper application for BOWP as my post grad. work permit is expiring next month.
I do not see a requirement for PHOTOS in the 5553 Instruction Guide. Please advise if I am required to submit any pictures. If yes, how many? (it is not on the doc. checklist either).

Please advise asap.. your help will be much appreciated.

I just send my paper application for BOWP and I included 2 photos, as I have done for my first BOWP.
