Hi,
My parents application transferred to NDVO from Ottawa after 2 year of processing in Ottawa. What does that mean. Kind of worried as previous medical done on 2nd Feb' 2017.

Where are your parents currently? If they are in India, the file will be transferred to new delhi and if your parents are in Canada and you requested to process the file in Canada then it should stay here. I am bit confused. Can you explain?

They are in India. But it seems that there is inconsistency as somebody whom I know with their parents in India is having their file processed at Ottawa. Also got request for RCMP PCC even though my parents have only been once for two month to Canada.

My parents are in India and their file was transferred to NDVO. I am not sure why some of the applications are processed in Ottawa even though the parents are in India.

Is there any FORUM for the PGP applicants who became eligible for adding dependent? As per procedure we have fiiled up WEB Form to add the dependent but after that no news after passing more than a month. They did not ask for filling up forms for the dependent. Unable to know the further procedure. Can someone guide?

do you know why you had to add a dependent? What is the benefit of doing so?

Under Check your application status when you opt for Family Sponsorship a Remark appears that from October24,2017 the age of dependent is changed from 19 to 22.Check whether you are eligible.

In MyCIC, the "Review of additional documents" changed from "Additional documents received" (since early 2017) to "We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details" about two-three weeks ago.

Anyone know what this means? I didn't receive any e-mail request for additional documents... Parents' medicals & PCC submitted Oct/Dec 2016.

Did you request GCMS Notes recently? If yes, then because of it. I got same message when i requested it and it was there till i received pre-arrival letter.

I requested ATIP in December 2017. They sent an e-mail telling my father to sign a document allowing them to release the info to me... He won't sign the document thinking it will delay the processing time (is that correct?)...

GCMS Note request will not delay the processing time. I requested 2 times in Aug and Oct and received the passport request at same time as others(Who completed medical in Jan and Feb) .

No, it will not delay the process.
I had the same situation, got an email that asked to allow release of information, my mom signed it and I got the report on the due date.
That authorization to release information is related only to that report, i.e. it cannot delay total processing time of your application.

Because my dependent daughter has not to struggle seperately to become a PR of Canada.

Thanks. Makes sense to me. All the best..I guess they will need to verify your daughter hence application may take a little bit longer but good idea to do as part of bulk file.
