Can you share your timeline with date please? Specifically, when did you do the medical? Is it Jan or Feb? When is your medical expiring exact date?

It's look like VO Ottawa started processing files after long time. Just worrying about re medical. As per Spreadsheet, around 30 people's medical is expiring in Jan and Feb. Are they going to ask everyone to do re medical? Why can't they extend it for couple of months?

Medicals will expire on Jan 27th, 2018, I called CIC rep and asked them about possible extension of medical results. The lady I spoke to told me that if CIC official feels that an "imminent" decision will be made shortly after the expiry date, they would consider extending the medical for a month or two. In my case I guess no decision is "imminent", that's why they asked to re-do the medicals. What is interesting is the pre-arrival letter I received this morning, one day after they told me to re-do medicals, almost feels like their way of saying "don't lose hope, just re-do medicals and your application will be processed in due course" oh well, what can we do

Applied for PGP on January 5th 2016, checked online status , it mentions decision made, but no further correspondence from CIC other than an email in April 2017 mentioning that my application is processed at the Ottawa location. Am I missing anything here?

DM for who - sponsor or applicant?

Hi

Can anyone share the link to 2016 PGP applicants spreadsheet.

I am 2017 PGP applicant and I received DM for sponsor and file is transferred to NDVO. Wanted to know how much time NDVO is taking for medical requests and PCC after the application is received at NDOV.

YES they starter processing 05 January applicants. Last Monday we received a letter from CIC Ottawa if my parent could land before the expiration date of there medical. if we can land before medical expires CIC said we should do the re-medical. The medical will expires on 13 January 2018.

We reply back and said that my parents are here and we can do the landing again before 13 January. After one day CIC Ottawa replies and said that they will process right away the PR. They will send PPR rightaway and since we can do the landing before the medical expires we don't need to redo the medical..

Now we are waiting for the passport request

Either your case was easier (less of Background Check was needed) or your officer is more efficient (processed without delays).
Congratulations and good luck! :)

Here is my update:

First medical was done on Dec 2016.
Received the re-medical request for my parents on last week of Nov since the previous medical is expiring soon. Also CIC requested for proof of parentage.

My parents completed their medical today and I will be sending the proof of parentage document today.

Visa office: Ottawa

Fingers crossed...
