Can someone please please answer my question? I really appreciate it:
What do they check in the medical exam? My dad is diabetic. Could that cause a problem?

1) urinalysis (protein, glucose and blood by dipstick—if blood
positive, then microscopic report required)

2) blood test for HIV, serological test (to detect syphilis ), Serum
creatinine (these
are all a part of blood test)

3) Chest X-ray.

also check below link for urianalysis

My parents application is with CPC-Ottawa. The background check has been in progress from around Nov. 24. Any idea on how long shall we wait from here?

if it is taking that long I suspect they might ask for another PCC..
same happened for my dad.. they asked for another pcc from Canada.. earlier they had asked for india and usa pcc for both mom and dad

Received PPR yesterday for my parents. Ecas changed to 'Decision Made'. We have 30 days to submit passport - NDVO.

FYI.. Medicals, PCC, RPRF submitted on 7th Nov 2016.

I will update the spreadsheet.

Congratulations to you and to your parents

did your status changed on background verification or anything after you submitted PCC after 7th Nov 2016 OR was it directly changed to decision made and you got the PPR?

i believe the PPR request was throu the email, not via the messages in ecas, right?

Thank you.

Ecas shows 'Decision Made' and last update is 'Medical results received'.
MyCIC account shows 'background check' and 'review of eligibility' as 'IN PROGRESS'.

You guessed it right, PPR received via email.

File was transferred to Ottawa and all communication is also done from Ottawa; but in passport request it is mentioned that send you passport to NDVO.

Congratulations!! :)

Would NDVO return passports by mail or courier to you or will you have to collect it from NDVO? Do you have the option of sending passports to VFS and paying the courier fee for return service?

Good luck!
