Applicants in Singapore Visa Office! Background Status on E-Cas just changed to In Progress. How long usually it takes for PPR? Thanks and congrats on everyone who got their PPR and landed this year Let's make Canada Great Again! 8) ;D

2015 Applicant (my mom only, LVO: Singapore):

01-Sep-2016: MyCIC shows Background Check is In-Progress
06-Sep-2016: All medical reports have been uploaded by PP
08-Sep-2016: MyCIC shows Medical Passed
12-Sep-2016: E-Cas shows Medical Received
12-Sep-2016: PPR email came in MyCIC

Did you submit Option C or NOA in the beginning?

I think if it is possible always sent Option C as it gives them more information then NOA, hence it is easier for them to verify your income (becomes important if you are getting benefits etc.)

i am aware of the difference, but now, i am not able to recall, could you please share the difference and why do you suggest option c, like what information is added value for this sponsorship, your reply will be very helpfull to me and other novice users

It is slow but not down anymore. Does American require visa to work or live in Canada, similar to TN1 ? Sorry for taking the thread away from its topic. Just need some amusement till we hit updates on PGP.

Rossei, based on the link/post, you are suggesting to call CRA for all 6 to 7 years, in my case i was here only from 2011. with the appln, i have submitted 2012, 2013, 2014, do i still get one from CRA (call center) for 2011 and 2015 or for all the 5 years?

And should i wait for ircc/cic to ask? OR just send them upfront, to save the waiting time?

I meant to say that one can ask for OptionC for the last 7 years only. It probably doesn't go beyond that.

In your case, you can proactively order OptionC for 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015 (no need for 2011). Just keep them handy in case CIC asks for any/all of it; do not send them until asked.

Once you make the call to CRA, make sure (double check) that they understand you well that you need OptionC for 2012 - 2015, all 4 years. Last time I ordered, they messed it up and sent me only one year's OptionC. Luckily, CIC never asked for any.

Guys I have not got SA yet after the additional document was request in July which I provided them at that time around. What is going on?? is it that they just keep the file aside forever and will not look at it atall while there are not many SA left so why there is a delay?

Congrats Amapreetd, where you asked to submit any additional documents apart from medical test, PCC, RPRF?
photos, 2015 option c/NOA or any thing else?

Hi Scell,

Not yet, ECAS still says application received.
FYI I check ECAS status using UCI and Application number both and while checking ECAS using application number I saw a message saying that a correspondence was sent to us on July 15th and that we should respond to it within 45 days.
I swear I kept on checking both the ECAS status regularly and this message for July 15th came all of a sudden in October, also we never received any correspondence or any email from CIC.
Last correspondence from CIC was on July 7th informing us with SA.
Members here advised that it was most likely a request for photographs which other members from London Visa office received during the June/July time frame, therefore my parents have submitted the photographs to London Visa office last week.
I have also contacted London Visa Office using webform informing them about the message we received on ECAS and that we have not received any email or any type of correspondence from them. Also, requested if they could please re-send it via email. Until yesterday that message was still in Canada and CIC emailed us letting us know that they have forwarded our message to responsible visa office.
So lets see when LVO contacts us back.

BTW did you receive any correspondence from London Visa office after receipt of SA in June? any request for photos ?
Also, there were 2 members here from London Visa office who informed me that they have received medical and PCC request mid or last week of October and they received their SA in June and early July.
