Help Guyss

I am planning to apply for my parents upcoming jan 2017 and I have a question since you guys already filled the application and might be able to help me.
I am sponsor and my dad is principle applicant

Form IMM1344E - question 6 - relationship to principle applicant ?
Will that be child or parent ???????

please if anyone can help, that will be greatly appreciated.

Principle applicant is one of your parent. So relationship to principle applicant is son or daughter.

For the first few years after my parents get their immigrant status, they would like to come and stay for just a few months every year. That's because it will take time for them to sell their house and be ready to completely move to Canada. I know that in order to keep their immigrant status, the total time they are in Canada should be at least 2 years out of 5 years. For example, if they get their immigrant status next year, they will come and stay for 3 months then go back. The following year, they will visit again for about 3 months. They will continue this until the 5th year when they will move here completely.
Is this possible?

Also, once they get their immigrant status, are they supposed to make new passports as immigrant right away? I remember that i made a new passport at Korean Consulate here in Canada and it looked different from my old passport. Or can they keep their current one and get a new one in Korea when they current passport expires?

Could anyone give me advice on this?
For the first question, it is possible to spread 2 years in 5 years. It is to be noted that for some provinces, the medical coverage requires the residents to stay 3 months before coverage begins like Ontario. Hence there could be pros and cons of short stay vs long stay.

For the second question, a resident from Korea (South Korea?) can better answer it. For other countries like India, the passport type does not change if a person becomes PR of another country. The format/look of the passport has enhanced over the years, but having passport of any format still means the person is the Citizen of the mentioned country.

Well it should be greater then the minimum for every corresponding year. Touch wood I am a successful sponsor for 2016 and in my case my 2013 income was more than the required income for 2013 but less then by few hundred for 2015. So Kilamans is RIGHT. :)

Thanks for the response. What year's MNI did you put in Question 8 when you applied?

Just to clarify - were your income for years printed on the IMM 5768 (2012, 2013, 2014; given your application was received by CIC in 2016) - all higher than MNI of 2014? I think, at the time of your application was received the most recent year for which CIC would have given a MNI would be for 2014. If so, just curious why you mentioned MNI of 2015 for the comparison...Or did you mean "2014" when you wrote "2015"?

Hi guys , I did receive the letter from cíc , and with the bad news that I didn't get SA
It looks like I was $800 short on the 2012 year , they did send my mom's app to the Canadian embassy in Mexico City , but will most likely be denied due to me not passing the sponsorship requirements

I got the 2 letters on the same envelope, they still gonna process the PR application because I checked on the box requesting that if sponsorship ineligibility occurs , they should still proceed with the PR application

Sorry to know that. What did the two letters state? Did it say something about not meeting the sponsorship requirements?
What was your e-cas status now? Does it say "Decision Made" under "Sponsorship Application Status" or still says "Application Received"?

Hi,

Don't hesitate to write a letter to local visa office program Manager and send them your new income for year 2015 and prove them how it has gone up. As current state may be different, they could consider. NO harm in asking right. I may or may not work. but try it.
