Perhaps, I will send it to Ottawa after photos taken. I will keep updating.

Vnexpress (another SVO case) has recently sent passport to Ottawa for visa stamping. I think it's already over 2 weeks and he hasn't heard anything back from Ottawa.

Re: landing, I don't think one needs to flag-pole anymore. One can simply make a left turn/u-turn just before crossing border to go to CBSA office. I think sometime in past, one had to come from outside Canada in order to "land". In that case, who doesn't have US Visa had to flag-pole. After CIC initiated landing inside Canada, you don't have to cross border. But you need to be prepared for worse scenario (i.e. flag-pole) while at border.

I couldn't comment on whether or not visa stamping should be done at CPC-Ottawa. If time can go back I wil send mine to SVO and definitely not CPCO. CPCO is very uncertain, no timeline, they could be fast this moment and dramatically slow the next week, they work behind a closed door and you're almost unable to follow up (should you need to in case of emergency) and they will tell you to use courier trackings as a mean to track the progress. it's like a luck-based system which I am not comfortable with.

SVO could take somewhere between 1-4 weeks I heard for passport returns, 2 weeks seem to be typical. If sending passport to them from Canada, be sure to include prepaid courier waybill as instructed. I assume people will have a better ending with visa stamping from SVO than CPCO. :-\

No, unfortunately you can't provide scanned signatures, they have to be original. Just get your parents to fill and sign the forms then courier them to you.

Thanks for the info.

Hello Jian!!

We are in the same boat.. When I applied last year my parents also in the Philippines. What I did was fill the application here in Canada make sure it correct then email the form to them. They print it and send it back to me. Remember that form should be completed and make sure it is 100% correct before printing because some forms have a unique control number (number should be the same for all pages) . I am assuming that you did your research and know what to do during submission of application..

Filling applications is one thing (very hard step) but sending it to the CIC is another thing (have to plan a perfect courier and you have to timing your application when do you send it so that it will arrived at CIC office on time - first inline)

Regards and good luck to your application.

Note (review this forum from start and you will know what to do)
Hi I sent you a message in your inbox. Thanks for answering my questions.

Congrats Rosei.

Do you have any specifics of London Visa office ??

Hello Tucosword
Did you send all the requested docs to NDVO? Have you heard anything from NDVO after the doc request?

Hi Tina16,
Nice to hear from you. No news so far. I know they have received the medicals but that's about it.
For a little while NDVO seemed like the stars, now it's all frustratingly quiet..
Fingers crossed.

Hello Friends,

Today I logged into ECAS and now it shows status as In Progress under Sponsorship Status.
When I click on In Progress, it shows me that - "We started processing your application on June 15, 2016.".

It shows that started processing on June 15 But I have not received any communication nor email or mail from CIC about the status.

I am 9:43 June 4 Purolator batch.

Any suggestions/thoughts

Thanks

I have the same situation, just receved file # in feb. by mail and nothing more
in my mom's account just "application received jan.04"

And question, do you think is it important how old are parents, possibly they try to do parents who is after 70-75 for example. what do you think?

so after sending pcc and done medical, today LVO emailed me asking to fill Schedule - A background declaration ! i believe this document was already provided in jan 2016 so not sure why they are asking for it again !

Hi,

All those who sent the PCC to Ottawa, can you please confirm how you sent it. Did you send a copy or Original ?

By Email or Post (please provide the Address)

Thanks,

1) Some LVO's will ask for updated IMM5669 in order to start background checks as applicants may get involved in different org, change work/home addresses etc. 2016 applicants are getting done within a year whereas it used to take 5 - 7 years in past. So, you can understand many things can change meanwhile. Some LVO's did not get out of the habit...

2) IMM5669 form has been updated (no new info required but the format has changed a bit)

3) In my case, Singapore VO asked for an updated IMM5669 since age 18 (not for last 10 years) along with IME and PCC. You can imagine how much I had to dig for my mom who is almost 60.

Therefore...

You shouldn't just reprint if LVO asked for an updated IMM5669.
