Again, FOR EXAMPLE,
Someone does medical on 01-Jun-2016. CIC receives it whenever. Later, CIC stamps PR Visa on his/her passport on 01-Feb-2017. CIC will indicate to the PR applicant that s/he has 120 days (4 months) to land (because his/her medical will expire in 31-May-2017).

Got the sponsorship approval for my mother few minutes ago, and the file has been transferred to Moscow.

It took them quiet a long time to approve you as a sponsor. 6 months.
That is what they call -fast processing of family sponsorship?

Thank you for the update!! How did you receive the ME request (mail or email)? Also did you fill out the representative form stating you as the representative? I didn't fill out the form so im trying to figure out how we will receive requests from the LVO going forward.

I received an email today and was approved for sponsorship! My mom's file has been transferred to Bucharest – Romania. Aside from the statistics listed in the timeline, has anyone ever heard about processing times for this visa office? Or know whether there is a website that lists processing times for individual visa offices. Thank you! ;D

I just got the approval for sponsorship of my mom. There send her profile to Warsaw... But she lives here for 3 years already, she has Russian sitizanship and her last address outside of Canada was in Spain. She never lived in Poland. Does anybody have situation like it? What should we do now? Very strange situation.
But anyway - congratulations to everybody who was approved already!

The visa office for Russian citizens is Warsaw. Congrats on the approval!

I thought sponsorship takes a long time...

What I noticed and read on the internet usually approving a sponsor takes 4-6 weeks. And approving a family member at VO takes months.

I received the SA today by email. Application was forwarded to LVO (Manila). Problem is that my mom has been here in Canada for 3yrs now. Her mailing address in the application was our address here in Canada but they still forwarded her application to Manila. The address in her ECAS is our Canada address too. Anyone in the same situation?
I contacted call center today & advised me to contact Manila office thru the webform to transfer her application to Ottawa. Hoping this will not cause delay in her application.
