Hello Guys,
Need some advice and guidance.

We applied for our parents sponsorship and our application was accepted in second batch of 5K applications. Last week, we have a new addition to our family, a baby :)
Considering this, we need to update CIC about this change. I am planning to send the updated "IMM5768E" (Financial Evaluation for Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship) by giving reference of my File No.

My question is
1) Is there any other doc, i should send them other than IMM5768E.
2) Can i just email this information (which email id?) or should post (which address) this.
There is one case specific query link "https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx" I think that would suffice and dont have to post the hard copies. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.!!

First of all, congrats.

I had a similar situation in March, 2015 and I emailed CPC-M re: the birth of our child (no email attachment). CIC didn't introduce 'webform' during that time. Now, if you visit 'After You Apply' page, you can use 'webform' to notify CIC re: the new addition to your family. FYI, CIC never asked for anything and I got sponsorship approval few days back.

Hello all,

Question on PCC.

My Parents have gone back to their home country after being with me in Canada for a year now. My question is

1. Should I obtain PCC from both countries, Canada and Home Country.
2. Can someone tell me how to get a PCC in Canada for the 1 year period they visited us.

Thanks,

Thanks,

1. Yes anywhere parents lives for more than 6 months you need PCC.
2. You need to contact your local police divisional office and get the PCC done.

But I would recommend not to do anything at this moment until IRCC ask for it. PCC is only valid for 6 months and does not make sense for doing it right now if you are unsure of when your file be picked for medicals and PCC request. Also someone here said that we normally don't require PCC for Canada for obvious reasons.
They anyways do background check, security check, criminal check and you already signed back ground declaration which should have No's to all those criminal and security threat questions.

I'll say just relax for now and wait for IRCC to request what they want.

Cheers

Definitely from Home country. As soonihope said, your parents will be asked if they need PCC from Canada. I'm still not 100% clear on this, but it seems like Canada is an exception. Unless they tell you to obtain "Criminal Record Check"; you don't have to do it by default.

2. Can someone tell me how to get a PCC in Canada for the 1 year period they visited us.
You have to contact the RCMP accredited companies who can digitize ink fingerprints taken outside Canada and submit them electronically to the RCMP.

Follow this link (all links have been shared in the SS if you ever looked): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

Hello there mofan - i saw that you are already been asked for medical/police check. May i ask how did CIC HK communicate with you (email, regular mail)? do they communicate with the sponsor, or the parents? Mine is "in progress" and i am now worried that the mail may get lost in China.

Thanks!

Does the medical check comes together with the letter that inform you for transferring to HongKong? Or it come as a separate letter/email?

Thanks.

What a progress and speed...i now strongly feel that the conservative government instructed CIC to slow down on PGP in the past...

Hi Rossie,

I cant access to your google doc website for some reasons. Google keep saying it has an error.

Is there anyone in the same situation as me? I havent recieved any AOR yet but my ECAS is active and so as my parents' . Should I be worrying? Is it normal? Should I give cic a ring?

Eurmione, you have a wrong link for PGP2016 in your signature, should be https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14ujwMXUzGTckLlr1dkuitOOKiqpp5_bhhLDKxDe3NDg/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=1154517793

I was in same sitution, and 2 weeks ago I got AOR in mail, So i beilve you should get it soon

And I have a question too. The status of one of my applications (for my dad) shows the following: Sponsorship: "Application rec-d" and under PR column: "In process".

When I click on the link "In process" under PR column it shows just "Application received" . No AOR yet. What does it mean??
