I made another column Total Rejected in the Statistics page of the SS so that we know how many applications are still pending (for various reasons you already mentioned with which I agree) from Jan 4 and onward.

Date-Time Total Received Total Accepted Total Rejected
Day1 (08:01-10:00) 299 251 5
Day1 (10:01-12:00) 36 24 0
Day1 (12:01-16:00) 14 11 0

So, it's actually 63 - 5 = 58 from Jan 4 which is still a lot considering 20 getting charged from Jan 5.

Rossei...question for you...might be dumb and probably somewhere you have already mentioned...

What is the purpose of the worksheet "Filter" though almost the same data/information is also present in "Timeline" worksheet? Just curious...

Let me take the liberty to answer on behalf of Rossie.
Yes, the "Filter" sheet, as the name suggests" is a mechanism that Rossei utilizes to get direct inputs from forum member for the cleaner and much controlled "Timeline" sheet.
He does that to ensure that there is no duplicate or invalid data that may cause other sheets to malfunction.
Apparently, this is the best way to maintain this online workbook.
I hope I answered the question.

Rossei,

I still feel that we can utilize "Timeline" sheet directly to get user data and completely eliminate "Filter" sheet. This way you won't have to worry about transfering their data to "Timeline" sheet. It may require some additional data validation and some conditional formatting to highlight duplicate or illegal entries. What do you say... ?

You might be right...but I thought and was aware that the "New Entry" sheet is for the forum members to provide their input and from there...Rossei copies it to the "Timeline" and other sheets...I never updated the "Filter" sheet...but my entries are there in all the sheets including "Filter"...I always update the "New Entry" sheet...whenever there is anything new for me to update...does that make sense?

For now, I've added you to the TIMELINE sheet under rg1234 username. But I would highly insist you on updating your info yourself by using NEW ENTRY sheet of the SS. All instructions are given on the first tab. Thanks.

I think I got it now...after reading the Introduction sheet...

Its says what all the work sheets including "Filter" sheet is all about...

New Entry: (read /write): This is for users to enter new data or update existing data
TIMELINE: (read only): Contains all 2016 PGP applications' status (all stages)
Filter: (partially locked):This is a plain view of TIMELINE sheet for users to apply different filters. Choose 'PGP' filter from Filter menu. Then you can filter the list by any heading.

Right. For example, if you want to see the progress of applications with same received time-stamp, you can do so in FILTER sheet. I've created PGP filter view which will enable all headings with drop-down options to choose from. Alternatively, you can create your own customized filter view (which you will often view) and save it for future use.

I have some other use of it as Tjd said. I could have done same thing on TIMELINE sheet. But I wanted full restrictions for it, hence made the FILTER sheet.

Are you for USER FORM? I didn't want to create one for such big entry (too many fields). It's perfect for small entries.

Alternatively, I could still use a separate sheet (i.e. NEW ENTRY) to populate TIMELINE directly/automatically. But that conflicts with my customized sorting. I've done this before, didn't go very well.

Let me know if you have other plans. I can eliminate 'FILTER' anytime I want.
