Hi guys. Got three questions:

1. In the AOR email, it says that I talks about sending the "Use of Representative" form if we are using a representative. I already sent that form. Do I need to send it again? or is it just their generic email template?

2. I checked the ECAS Status. Under "Sponsorship Application" there is a section called "Permanent Residence Application Status". When I click on "Application Received" status I see this: We received null <my parent's name> application for permanent residence on January 4, 2016.. I am wondering why it says "null"? Is this just a bug in ECAS or there is something missing from my side?

3. My mother's passport was just renewed. Should I send this info to CIC right now or shud I wait for application to start processing?

Thanks.

1. I think its just generic email which they send it to everyone, so if you already sent the form no need to worry.
2. Was your parent's given name or last name missing on passport and you only filled last name in application, then that's why system does not recognizes the name and puts null if that is missing. No need to worry its always the case when you don't have last name on your passport.
3. Obviously any change in your application you need to notify CIC. You already have file# so yeah use that file number and send any new information you have about the application.

Yes, my father has no last name in the passport.

Cool.

Thanks.

I just checked ECAS today for the status of my mother-in-law's application and it is updated with an acknowledgement -

- We received xxxxxx's application for permanent residence on January 4, 2016.

It shows up both in my wife's and my mother-in-law's ecas account. Interestingly enough, we haven't received an email AOR so far.

Same here - card charged over a month ago, and now just saw same update in my and my mom's ECAS. No AOR for some reason.

Same status for my mother's application. Did not receive any AOR though. I used a certified cheque so have no way of tracking whether it was charged or not. This sure is a sign of relief though!!

Sorry one more question: Do I need to send the mail about the updates to Case Processing Centre Mississauga?

theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/liberals-to-repeal-citizenship-law-bill-c-24-immigration-minister/article28861630/

One of the line there was relevant to this thread.

"Mr. McCallum told reporters Tuesday that the government will table its annual immigration report before March 9. The report was supposed to be tabled by Nov. 1, but the fall election delayed its release. Since the House of Commons was not sitting on Nov. 1, the law requires the government to table the report within 30 sitting days of Parliament returning."

I hope this would be the same time when CAP for 10k would be announced officially ..

Thank you Canam3 some ray of hope is now visible

I think address change you can do it online but any other information change you need to send mail referencing your file# on top of the package.

Hi, All

My sponsor application was delivered by USP at 6:31am, 1/4, cc was charged on 1/19, so far I didn't get any AOR email, wondering whats going on, someone here mentioned to check status using citizenship#, the odd thing is that I don't have such number at the back of the citizenship card, could be it was issued much earlier (2004)??, only I can see is that the 7 digit number in front of the card, I don't know my UCI# either. Do I need to call to ask about the status or continue waiting for the AOR email?

If your CC was charged you're good! Just wait a bit longer, you're through! :)

My CC has not been charged yet. Do you think there is still any scope? :(

Is there any way to check the file status without any information about the file?
